In order to study the effect of the different levels of small peptide on growing characteristics, meat quality and physiological -biochemical index in minor and adult carp, healthy carps with similar weight were chosen in this experiment and allocated randomly to four groups. Three trial groups were added 0.3%, 0.6% and 1.0% small peptide to basic diet, respectively, and the forth group was control group. The results indicated that:(1) Compared with control group, added weight of experiment groups was increased and feed coefficient was decreased remarkably;(2) Compared with control group, CP, ASH, Ca, P content of experiment groups were increased and EE content was decreased in different extent, respectively. Especially, Calcium content and phosphor content of group 1.0% small peptide was increased by 42.8% and 8.3%(P<0.05), EE content was decreased by 25.0%. The content of essential amino acid and flavor amino acid of experiment groups were higher than control group, especially group 1.0% small peptide were increased by 6.4% and 2.5%; IMP content of experiment groups was increased in different extent, especially group 1.0% small peptide was 0.17mg/100mg and increased by 70.0% (P<0.05); The content of palmitoleic acid, octadeca, arachidonic, arachidic and stearic acid of experiment groups were higher than control group indifferent extent.Oleic acid and docosahexaenic acid were decreased in different extent.(3) Compared with control group, IgM and C4 of experiment groups were remarkably increased. IgM and C4 of Group 1.0% small peptide were 450.81mg/L and 17.69mg/L, increased by 14.6% , 95.7%(P<0.05), respectively. And C3 has no remarkably effect. T4, BUN and TG3 of experiment groups were remarkably decreased( P<0.05), especially T4, BUN and TG3 of group 1.0% small peptide were decreased by 80.8% , 27.9% andl9.7%; T3, CHOL, AST, ALT, LDH,ALB, GLO of experiment groups showed no significant difference (P>0.05).(4) Hepatopancreas-body ratio, bowel-body ratio, and apleen-body ratio of experiment groups were increased, but had no significant difference(P>0.05), And kidney-body ratio of group 1.0% small peptide was increased by 56.3% (P<0.05).
