This experiment studied the effects of supplementation with α-ketoisohexanoic acid on amino acid Concentrations and antioxidant capacity in plasma and weight gain in Yili horse, enriching the relevant scientific experiments of KIC in animal diet.In this experiment, twenty Yili horses with similar body weight[(295.25±25.15 kg)]and aged]year old, were divided into 4 groups, with 5 horses in each group. The control group was supplemented with 0 g KIC,Trial group Ⅰ were supplemented 6 g KIC,trial group Ⅱ were supplemented 12 g KIC,trial group Ⅲ were supplemented 18 g KIC.The experiment period was 40 days.Blood samples were collected on experiment 40 d.With the increase of KIC feeding level, the change of KIC Concentrations in plasma first increased and then decreased.Compared with control group, complementary feed each trial group after 1 h plasma KIC Concentrations of increased by 7.94%,7.86%and 21.51%,respectively,and reached a peak(P>0.05).With the increase of KIC feeding level, the change of HMB Concentrations in plasma showed a trend of decreasing first, then increasing and then decreasing.Compared with the control group, the plasma HMB Concentrations in each trial group decreased at 0 h before supplementary feeding, and increased at 1h,2 h and 4 h after supplementary feeding(P>0.05).Compared with the control group, the plasma KIC Concentrations in each test group increased by 8.66%,18.87%and 8.84%(P>0.05);the plasma leucine Concentrations in the test group Ⅰ and Ⅲ increased respectively 22.40%and 22.24%(P<0.05);Plasma isoleucine Concentrations decreased by 23.08%and 32.34%(P<0.01)in test group I and test group Ⅲ;plasma valine Concentrations in test group Ⅰ and test group Ⅲrespectively decreased by 15.75%and 14.13%(P<0.05);compared with test group I,the Concentrations of branched chain amino acids in the plasma of test group I was reduced by 15.70%(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the plasma lysine, methionine, arginine and glutamine levels in the test group Ⅲ were reduced by 28.43%,22.22%,21.81%and 23.60%(P<0.05);the Concentrations of asparagine in the test group Ⅲ was 26.50%lower than the test group I and the difference between the groups reached a significant level(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the plasma trim ethylhistidine Concentrations of the experimental group Ⅲ was reduced by 18.74%(P>0.05).Compared with the control group, the plasma tryptophan Concentrations of each test group was not significantly different(P>0.05);however,the serotonin Concentrations of each test group decreased by 7.5%,28.03%and 10.28%and the test group Ⅰdecreased by 22.22%and 24.68%compared with the test group Ⅱ and test groupⅢ,respectively(P<0.01).Compared with the control group, the total plasma protein Concentrations of each test group increased by 8.32%,7.91%and 13.09%,respectively,and the test group Ⅲreached a significant level(P<0.05);the plasma globulin Concentrations of each test group increased respectively 6.98%,5.78%and 16.34%and there was an increasing trend in the experimental group Ⅲ(P=0.062);the plasma urea nitrogen Concentrations of each experimental group had no significant effect(P>0.05).Compared with the control group, the plasma SOD activity of each test group increased by 12.70%,40.60%and 64.29%,respectively,and reached extremely significant levels between the test group I and the test group Ⅲ(P<0.01);the plasma T-AOC activity and CAT activity were increased by 24.78%and 13.58,respectively(P<0.05);plasma GSH-px activity was increased by 5.50%,3.17%and 24.27%in each test group, and The test groupⅢ reached a very significant level(P<0.01).Compared with the control group, the Yili horses in each experimental group gained 19.09%,28.60%and 11.54%(P>0.05),and the average daily weight gain of the test group Ⅰ,test group Ⅱ,and test group Ⅲ was higher than the control group;in addition,Yili horse increased both weight gain and average daily weight gain during the test period, but both did not reach significant levels(P>0.05).Under the test conditions, after 1 h of supplemental dietary α-ketoisocaproic acid, the KIC Concentrations in Yili horse plasma peaked, but there was no significant effect on plasma HMB Concentrations;the leucine Concentrations in Yili horse plasma was increased, but reduced the Concentrations of branched chain amino acids and serotonin in the plasma;reduced the Concentrations of lysine, methionine, arginine and glutamine in the plasma of Yili horse, promoted the synthesis of protein in the body of Yili horse, and improved The trend of Yili horse gaining weight.Diet supplemented with α-ketoisocaproic acid can improve the antioxidant capacity of Yili horse. |
