| The purpose of this experiment is to explore the effects of different doses of compound Chinese herbal medicine preparations on the sexual desire,semen quality and reproductive hormones of the stallion,so as to provide a theoretical basis and method for better use of the stallion’s reproductive performance and the application of Chinese herbal medicine additives in production.Twelve stallions were selected and randomly divided into 3 groups with 4 horses in each group;the control group did not add Chinese herbal medicine;the test group Ⅰ and test group Ⅱ added 200 g/d and 350 g/d respectively,and the feeding period was 35 days;At the end of the pre-feeding period,at the 0th,2nd,4th,6th,and 8th week of the experiment,samples were collected,and the effects of the additives contained in the compound Chinese herbal medicine on the reproductive hormones,semen quality,and sexual desire of the stallion.The results showed that:(1)Effect of compound Chinese herbal medicine additives on stallions’ sexual desire:Compared with the control group,the reaction time of the experimental group Ⅱ was significantly lower than that of the experimental group Ⅰ and the control group(P<0.01),and the ejaculation time of the experimental group Ⅱwas significantly longer than that of the experimental group Ⅰ Compared with the control group(P<0.05),the test group Ⅰ was significantly longer than the control group(P<0.05),the test group Ⅱ sexual desire score was significantly higher than the test group Ⅰ control group(P<0.05).The reaction time in the 8th and 2nd week of supplementary feeding was significantly lower than that in 0th,4th and 6th week(P<0.01),and the ejaculation time in the 8th supplementary feeding was significantly longer than that before the supplementary feeding and the 2nd supplementary feeding Weeks,4 weeks,and 6 weeks(P<0.05),the sexual desire scores at the 6th and 8th week of supplementary feeding were significantly longer than before the supplementary feeding,at the 2nd and 4th week of supplementary feeding(P<0.05).The replenishment dose has a very significant effect on the reaction time and the number of crawls(P<0.01),a higher than that before,2nd,4th,and 6th week of supplementary feeding(P<0.01),and the LH content at the 8th week of supplementary feeding was significantly higher than that at 0,2,and 4.Weeks and 6 weeks(P<0.01),the T content supplementation time was not significantly different between the two groups(P>0.05).In summary:two different dosages of Chinese herbal medicine additives,mainly composed of psoralen,epimedium,dodder,etc.,can significantly enhance the stallion ’s sexual behavior,significantly improve the stallion ’s semen quality,and significantly increase serum LH,T and FSH content In
