Influence Of L.Japonica Crude Extract And Radix Puerariae Crude Extract On The Growth Performance,Meat Quality And Intestinal Flora Of Finishing Pigs | | Posted on:2022-04-19 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:Z H Liu | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2493306725459394 | Subject:Master of Agriculture | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | This study aimed to investigate the influence of adding L.japonica crude extract(the main active ingredient is chlorogenic acid)and Radix Puerariae crude extract(the main active ingredient is puerarin flavonoids),and their mixture to the diet of fattening pigs on their growth performance,meat quality,index of blood,intestinal flora,and the influence of nutrient apparent digestibility of feed,to reveal the effect mechanism of L.japonica crude extract and Radix Puerariae crude extract on the production of fattening pigs.A total of 72 healthy three-breed crossbred Duroc×Landrace×Yorkshire barrows without significant differences in body weight(93±2 kg)were chosen and randomly divided into four groups(18 in each group).The test was repeated three times in each group,and six barrows were evaluated each time.The groups were fed with the following diets:control group,basic diet;chlorogenic acid(CGA)group,basic diet+1 000 mg/kg L.japonica crude extract;Pueraria flavonoid(PF)group,basic diet+1 000 mg/kg Radix Puerariae crude extract;and mix group,basic diet+500 mg/kg L.japonica crude extract+500 mg/kg Radix Puerariae crude extract.The experiment was performed for 45 days.The results show that:1)The average daily gain(ADG)of pigs in group 3(mixed at 1:1 with L.japonica crude extract and Radix Puerariae crude extract)was significantly increased(P<0.05),the ratio of feed to gain(F/G)was significantly decreased(P<0.05).2)In the experimental group,the area of eye muscle and the content of p H48h and intramuscular fat in pork increased significantly(P<0.05);the content of amino acid in pork was significantly decreased(P<0.05);the contents of oleic acid and monounsaturated fatty acid(MUFA)in pork in group 3 was significantly increased(P<0.05).3)The number of red blood cells(RBC)and the level of serum high density lipoprotein(HDL-C)in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05);blood platelet(PLT),neutrophil count(NEU#)and eosinophil count(EOS#)decreased、serum total cholesterol(CHOL)and serum low density lipoprotein(LDL-C)levels were decreased significantly(P<0.05).4)In the experimental group the levels of serum superoxide dismutase(SOD),total antioxidant capacity(T-AOC),glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px)and lactate dehydrogenase(LDH)were significantly increased(P<0.05);the content of malondialdehyde(MDA)in serum was significantly decreased(P<0.05);the content of serum LDH in group 2 was increased significantly(P<0.05).5)The content of serum immunoglobulin A(Ig A)in the experimental group was significantly increased(P<0.05),and the content of interleukin-4(IL-4)was significantly decreased(P<0.05).6)The abundance and diversity of intestinal microbial species in experimental group were significantly increased(P<0.05);the abundance of Phylum Firmicutes and Lactobacillus in test group 3 was significantly higher than that in control group(P<0.05);the Potentially Pathogenic of intestinal flora in experimental groups was significantly decreased,and the Contains Mobile Elements was increased significantly(P<0.05).7)The digestibility of dietary crude protein and total phosphorus(TP)of pigs in experimental group was significantly increased(P<0.05).In conclusion,adding L.japonica and Radix Puerariae crude extracts to the diet of fattening pigs can improve their average daily gain and reduce the feed-to-weight ratio;improve the quality of pork;improve the serum biochemical indices,antioxidant capacity,and immunological functions of fattening pigs;maintain the balance of pig intestinal flora,enhance the abundance and diversity of probiotics in the intestine,adjust the intestinal metabolic pathways,improve the prediction of intestinal microbial phenotype;improve the digestibility of feed crude protein and total phosphorus in pigs.Under the conditions of this test,adding 500mg/kg L.japonica crude extracts and 500 mg/kg Radix Puerariae crude extract to the fattening pig feed was the best group. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | crude extract of L.japonica, crude extract of Radix Puerariae, fattening pig, Production performance, Meat quality, Blood index, Rectal microbe, Nutrient apparent digestibility | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
