At present, the research on dietary fiber of meat rabbit is not very in-depth,and the research on growth, reproduction stage and different levels of dietary fiber of meat rabbit, especially breeding male rabbit,is still relatively broad, lacking specific data and in-depth research. As dietary fiber can provide nutrition and has a variety of physiological functions,in order to discuss whether different dietary fiber can improve the digestive capacity and reproductive performance of male breeding rabbits, this paper aims to explore the effects of different dietary fiber levels on growth performance, apparent digestibility and reproductive performance of male rabbits..According to the requirement of nutrients for 60 day old rabbits, the diet was formulated.Under the condition of isoenergetic and equal protein, the male rabbits were randomly divided into four treatment groups, with 5 replicates in each group, and one rabbit in each replicate group. The diets containing crude fiber levels were 10%(Experiment 1),12%(Experiment 2),14%(Experiment 3),and 16%(Experiment 4),respectively.The pre feeding period was 7 days and the experimental period was 90 days. The experimental male rabbits were weighed on an empty stomach every month. The live weight and total feed intake of each group were recorded, and the ratio of feed to weight was calculated. The apparent digestibility and reproductive performance of 150 day old rabbits were measured. The results are as follows:(1)In terms of growth performance, the live weight of group 2 was significantly higher than that of group 1 and group 4 at the age of 90 and 150 days(P < 0.05),the live weight of group 3 was significantly higher than that of other groups at 120 days of age(P < 0.05);the ratio of feed to weight of group 3 and group 4 was significantly higher than that of group 1 and group 2 at the age of 90 days(P < 0.05),and that of group 4 was significantly higher than that of group 1 and group 2 at the age of 120 and 150 days(P < 0.05);(2)In terms of apparent digestibility, the digestibility of dry matter, crude protein and energy in two groups were significantly higher than those in groups 1 and 4;the digestibility of crude fiber in groups 2 and 3 was significantly higher than that in groups 1 and 4;(3)In terms of reproductive performance, the sperm density of group 3 and group 4 was significantly higher than that of group 1 and group 2,the sperm viability of group 3 was significantly higher than that of other groups, and there was no significant difference in sperm volume and sperm deformity rate among the treatment groups;the contents of luteinizing hormone and testosterone in group 2 and group 3 were significantly higher than those in group 1 and group 4;the content of follicle stimulating hormone and estradiol in group 2 was significantly higher than that in group 1 and group 2 There was no significant difference in prolactin content among other treatment groups.According to the results of this experiment, the optimal level of dietary crude fiber is 12% before 120 days old and 14% after 120 days of age. Therefore, the rational use of different crude fiber levels in the diet is conducive to improve the growth, digestion, metabolism and reproductive performance of male breeder rabbits, which is of great significance for the rational formulation of diet and the healthy breeding of breeding male rabbits.
