Effects Of Compound Chinese Herbal Medicine Additives On Production Performance,Antioxidant Performance And Intestinal Health Of Green-eggshell Laying Hens

In this experiment,ten Chinese herbal medicines(Astragalus membranaceus,Codonopsis pilosula,Polygonum multiflorum thunb,Angelica sinensis(Oliv)Diels,Huai yam,Poria cocos,Ligusticum wallichii,Lycium chinensis,Fructus ziziphi jujubae,Black sesame)were selected according to the principle of compatibility.According to the ratio of3:3:3:3:3:3:2:2:2:2.A total of 192 24-week-old Shandong Mayu green shell laying hens with good health and similar body weight were randomly divided into 4 groups with 6replicates per treatment and 8 hens per replicate.The control group was fed with basic diet,while the experimental group was fed with 0.5%,1.0% and 1.5% compound Chinese herbal medicine additives respectively Routine feeding and management,free feeding and drinking,the pre-experiment period is 2 weeks,the experiment period is 8 weeks,the performance of laying hens is recorded every day,eggs are collected once a week for egg quality determination,and serum is collected at the end of the breeding test to determine the antioxidant performance of serum.Collect the duodenum,jejunum,and ileum to make sections to observe the intestinal morphology,and collect the contents of the cecum for 16s rRNA gene sequencing.The experimental results are as follows:(1)Different doses of compound Chinese herbal medicine could improve the egg weight,average feed intake,feed-egg ratio and damaged egg rate of green shell laying hens,and the laying rate of green shell laying hens with 1.0% compound Chinese herbal medicine was the highest,the feed-egg ratio was the lowest(P<0.05).(2)Compared with the control group,the addition of 1.0% and 1.5% compound Chinese herbal medicine significantly increased the egg shape index and protein height of green shell laying hens(P<0.05),and significantly decreased the water content of egg yolk(P<0.05).The addition of 1.0% compound Chinese herbal medicine significantly increased the eggshell strength and yolk coefficient of green shell laying hens(P<0.05).The addition of1.5% compound Chinese herbal medicine significantly increased the eggshell thickness and of green shell laying hens(P<0.05).The addition of different doses of compound Chinese herbal medicine could improve the relative weight of eggshell,Haugh unit and yolk of green shell laying hens,but the difference was not significant(P>0.05).(3)Compared with the control group,the addition of 1.0% and 1.5% compound Chinese herbal medicine significantly increased the contents of glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px)and catalase(CAT)in the serum of green shell laying hens.The addition of different doses of compound Chinese herbal medicine increased the content of superoxide dismutase(SOD)and decreased the content of malondialdehyde(MDA)in the serum of green shell laying hen,but the difference was not significant(P>0.05).(4)Compared with the control group,adding various proportions of compound Chinese herbal medicine to the diet significantly increased the villus height of the duodenum and jejunum of the green shell layer(P<0.05),and improved the villus height of the ileum,but the difference was not significant(P>0.05);adding various proportions of compound Chinese herbal medicine to the diet significantly improved the crypt depth,V/C,and intestinal wall thickness(P<0.05).(5)Compared with the control group,adding 1.0% and 1.5% of the compound Chinese herbal medicine green shell layer to the cecal microflora in the diet has the largest changes in structure and quantity,but there is no significant effect(P>0.05),however,the relative abundance of Bacteroides and Firmicutes can be optimized to a certain extent,and the flora structure can be improved.Conclusion:Comprehensive production performance,antioxidant performance,intestinal morphology and cecal content 16s rRNA gene sequencing results,adding compound Chinese herbal medicine(Astragalus membranaceus,Codonopsis pilosula,Polygonum multiflorum thunb,Angelica sinensis(Oliv)Diels,Huai yam,Poria cocos,Ligusticum wallichii,Lycium chinensis,Fructus ziziphi jujubae,Black sesame,proportion:3:3:3:3:3:3:2:2:2:2)additives to the basic diet can effectively improve the production performance of green-shell laying hens,and increase the antioxidant performance and the health of the intestines.Among them,the 1.0% addition amount is better.
