Chinese herbal medicine comes from animals, plants, minerals, and mineral by-products.Compared with antibiotics,it has the characteristics of no drug resistance,no residue, and low cost.It is a high-quality alternative to antibiotics. In this experiment, four common Chinese herbal medicines in southern Xinjiang(Glycyrrhiza,Elaeagnus angustifolia,Punica granatum L and Lycium)were selected to make compound Chinese herbal medicine additives for feeding experiments to explore the effects of compound Chinese herbal medicine additives on the growth performance, egg production performance, immunity and Antioxidant properties and the impact of intestinal health provide high-quality Chinese herbal medicine additives for laying hen breeding, and find solutions for the key problem of feed resource utilization and development in southern Xinjiang. In this experiment,600 healthy and nearly 12 week old young Hy-line brown laying hens were selected and randomly divided into 3 groups, with 4 replicates in each group and 50 chickens in each replicate. The control group was fed with a basic diet.Experiment group I added 0.2% compound Chinese herbal additive to the basic diet, while experiment group II added 0.4% compound Chinese herbal additive to the basic diet. The pre feeding period is 14 d,and the formal experimental period is 56 d.Measure the growth performance, egg production performance, immune ability, antioxidant performance, observe changes in intestinal morphology, and analyze changes in the structure of cecal microbiota in each group of young laying hens.Experiment 1: Effects of four common Chinese herbal medicines in southern Xinjiang on the performance of Hy-line brown layer hens. The results showed that:(1)Adding 0.4% compound Chinese herbal medicine to the diet could effectively increase the daily gain and average daily feed intake of young Hy-line brown layer hens, and reduce the feed-to-weight ratio(P<0.05).(2)Adding 0.2% and 0.4%compound Chinese herbal medicine to the diet can reduce the organ index of the heart and liver of Hy-line brown layer hens to varying degrees(P<0.05),which can improve and protect, and the addition of 0.4% has the best effect.good.Chinese herbal medicine additives had no significant effect on the development of other organs.(3)Adding 0.2% and 0.4% compound Chinese herbal medicine to the diet can effectively increase the egg production rate of young Hy-line brown layer hens(P<0.05),reduce the ratio of feed to eggs and the rate of damaged eggs(P<0.05),and make the egg production age in advance. Both the broken egg rate and the feed-to-egg ratio decreased with the increase of Chinese herbal medicine additives, showing a negative correlation.Experiment 2: Effects of compound Chinese herbal medicine additives on immune function and antioxidant properties of young Hy-line brown layer hens. The results showed that:(1)Adding 0.4%compound Chinese herbal medicine to the diet could significantly increase the content of IgG,IgA and IgM in serum of Hy-line brown layer hens(P<0.05),and adding 0.2% could significantly increase the content of serum IgG(P<0.05),although the contents of IgA and IgM increased, but the change was not significant(P>0.05).(2)Adding 0.2% and 0.4% compound Chinese herbal medicine to the diet can significantly increase the content of GSH-Px,CAT and T-AOC in serum of Hy-line brown layer hens, and reduce the content of MDA(P<0.05),while 0.4% compound Chinese herbal medicine The added amount can significantly increase the content of SOD in serum, while the added amount of 0.2% has no significant effect on SOD(P>0.05).Experiment 3: Effects of four common Chinese herbal medicines in southern Xinjiang on the intestinal morphology of Hy-line brown layer hens. The results showed that:(1)In terms of duodenal morphology, adding 0.4% compound Chinese herbal medicine to the diet could significantly improve the duodenal villus height and villi-crypt ratio of Hy-line brown layer hens(P<0.05),and the crypt depth of the two experimental groups Although all improved, there was no significant difference with the control group(P>0.05).(2)In terms of jejunum morphology, adding 0.4% compound Chinese herbal medicine to the diet can significantly increase the jejunum villus height and crypt ratio, and reduce the crypt depth(P<0.05).Although the 0.2%addition group improved the villi height, crypt depth and villus-crypt ratio, the effect was not obvious(P>0.05).(3)In terms of ileum morphology, adding 0.2% and 0.4% of compound Chinese herbal medicine to the diet can effectively increase the ileal crypt ratio and reduce the crypt depth of Hy-line brown layer hens(P<0.05).Significantly(P>0.05).Experiment 3: Effects of compound Chinese herbal medicine additives on intestinal morphology of young Hy-line brown layer hens. The results showed that:(1)In terms of duodenal morphology, adding 0.4%compound Chinese herbal medicine to the diet could significantly improve the duodenal villus height and villi-crypt ratio of Hy-line brown layer hens(P<0.05),and the crypt depth of the two experimental groups Although all improved, there was no significant difference with the control group(P>0.05).(2)In terms of jejunum morphology, adding 0.4% compound Chinese herbal medicine to the diet can significantly increase the jejunum villus height and crypt ratio, and reduce the crypt depth(P<0.05).Although the 0.2% addition group improved the villi height, crypt depth and villus-crypt ratio, the effect was not obvious(P>0.05).(3)In terms of ileum morphology, adding 0.2% and 0.4% of compound Chinese herbal medicine to the diet can effectively increase the ileal crypt ratio and reduce the crypt depth of Hy-line brown layer hens(P<0.05).Significantly(P>0.05).In summary, adding compound Chinese herbal medicine additives to the diet can improve the production performance of young Hy-line brown layer hens, enhance immunity, increase antioxidant levels, improve intestinal morphology and intestinal flora structure, among which 0.4% Addition works best.
