Therapeutic Effect And Safety Evaluation Of Xiaochaihu Decoction On Chicken Colibacillosis Combined Immunizationin Intensive Pig Farm

Chicken E.coli disease is a disease caused by pathogenic E.coli(APEC)infection in chickens.Chickens will have symptoms such as enteritis,gasbag inflammation,pericarditis and perihepatitis after the onset of the disease,and the disease is often combined with infectious bronchitis and chronic respiratory diseases in chickens.In addition,chicken E.coli disease also has the characteristics of diverse transmission pathways and unstable onset time,causing huge economic losses to farmers.Therefore,attention should be paid to the treatment of chicken colibacillosis.In recent years,the application of Chinese medicine in the treatment of chicken colibacillosis has attracted the attention and attention of the industry.Xiaochaihu Decoction is a common Chinese medicine.In this paper,the chicken colibacillosis model was firstly established to explore the practical effect and safety of Xiaochaihu Decoction on chicken colibacillosis,so as to provide the basis for the prevention and treatment of chicken colibacillosis with Xiaochaihu Decoction.After the model establishment and preliminary preparations were completed,the APECinfected chickens were treated with Xiaochaihu Decoction at the dosage of 4g/kg,2 g/kg,1g/kg,0.5 g/kg,and 0.25 g/kg,respectively.The results showed that the symptoms of chickens in each dosage group were improved to varying degrees,among which the symptoms of chickens in the 4g/kg,2 g/kg,1 g/kg,and 0.5 g/kg dosage groups were most significantly improved.Therefore,"1g/kg" was set as the clinically recommended dose of Xiaochaihu Decoction for the treatment of chicken colibacillosis.In order to explore the therapeutic effect of Xiaochaihu Decoction with different doses and administration methods on diseased chickens,the animals were divided into eight groups,i.e.,a model group,a control group,a Xiaochaihu Decoction 1g/kg dose group,a Xiaochaihu Decoction 2g/kg dose group,a Xiaochaihu Decoction 0.5g/kg dose group,a prevention group,an immediate administration group and a simple western medicine treatment group.The results showed that the survival rates of chickens in the 1g/kg Xiaochaihu Decoction group,the 2g/kg Xiaochaihu Decoction group and the 0.5g/kg Xiaochaihu Decoction group reached 90%.The chicken weight gain of each group with Xiaochaihu Decoction was also improved,and the weight gain effect of the prevention group was the most significant.After treatment with Xiaochaihu Decoction,the number of bacteria in the organs of diseased chickens in each group was also significantly decreased.The safety results of Xiaochaihu Decoction in the treatment of chicken colibacillosis showed that the use of 1 times,5 times and 10 times Xiaochaihu Decoction within 7 days had no significant changes in blood indicators,pathological changes and signs of chickens in each group,indicating that the use of Xiaochaihu Decoction in the treatment of chicken colibacillosis had a high safety.
