Felineparvovirus(Felineparvovirus,FPV)is a member of the Parvovirus family and the genus Parvovirus. The mode of transmission is mainly through direct or indirect contact with the secretions and excrements of diseased animals, and it can also be transmitted through blood-sucking parasites such as fleas and lice. The main manifestations of cats after infection are rapid onset, depression, loss of appetite or abandonment, vomiting, diarrhea with blood, elevated body temperature(>39.5°C),and a sharp decrease in the number of white blood cells in the body.Visceral pathological changes were mainly in the digestive tract during autopsy, manifested as gastrointestinal emptiness, intestinal mucosal bleeding, and swollen lymph nodes. The cut surface showed red, gray or white marble-like patterns. This article mainly discusses the diagnosis and treatment of FPV infection. This study collected 38 suspected cases of FPV infection from Nanjing Nice Pet Hospital,Baobao Pet Hospital, and Chong Anxin Pet Hospital. After FPV fluorescence chromatography and PCR detection,28 cases of FPV infection were finally confirmed.Finally,28 cases were used as the research object, divided according to age, vaccine immunity, and regular deworming.Through analysis and comparison of clinical symptoms, virus detection, laboratory examination, imaging examination, etc.,routine diagnosis and treatment of FPV were obtained.Among them,4 typical cases were specifically analyzed to provide guidance for clinical treatment.1.FPV infected cats generally have obvious mental appetite and gastrointestinal symptoms, but not all cats have similar clinical symptoms.2.Among the cats affected by FPV infection,22 cases(22/28,78.6%)were under ten months old,5 cases(5/28,17.9%)and 22 cases(22/28,78.6%)were vaccinated. The disease is caused by stress response due to changes in the environment, food, vaccine injection,etc.3.4 cases of FPV infection showed laboratory examinations. In the early stage,100% of cats’ white blood cells were lower than normal or at the lower limit of normal. After treatment,50% of cats’ white blood cells increased significantly,50% of cats’ urea nitrogen increased, and 75% of cats’ creatinine increased.Total bilirubin was elevated in% of cats, and 75% of cats had no abnormalities in echocardiography, and one of them had valvular disease in the heart.4.The clinical symptoms and physical indicators of cats are different. After treatment, the prognosis of cats with white blood cells continues to decline is poor.Cats with stable or even rising white blood cells have a high cure rate, and the general course of disease does not exceed 7 days to recover. There are also some cats. Will die because of sudden heart and lung failure symptoms. In summary,FPV-infected animals are mainly young and incompletely immunized cats. The mortality rate of the affected cats is relatively high. The cure rate of immunized kittens and adult cats is relatively high. The combination of fluorescence quantitative PCR and immunochromatography has important guiding significance for the initial diagnosis of FPV infection. In addition to routine symptomatic and antiviral treatments during the treatment period, with the use of blood and imaging examination equipment, the patient’s physical condition can be understood more clearly, different treatment plans can be formulated for different signs and complications, and the cure rate can be increased.
