Research On Internet Rumor Control Strategy In Public Health Emergencies

With the advent of the network information age,the transmission mode and characteristics of network rumors in public health emergencies have undergone great changes,which has caused a bad impact on the development of the event itself and the social order.Under this background,it is particularly necessary to study how to effectively deal with the network rumors in public health emergencies.Based on the relevant research results of scholars at home and abroad and from the perspectives of public management,psychology,political science and other disciplines,this paper adopts literature research method,case analysis method and content analysis method to take the Internet rumor control during the epidemic period of novel Coronavirus pneumonia as an example.A total of 191 rumor samples from January 18,2020,solstice and February 16,2020 were selected for the study.Based on the classification of online rumors during the epidemic period,the current situation of online rumor governance during the epidemic period was analyzed starting from the transmission stage and transmission route of online rumors during the new coronet epidemic period.This paper summarizes the shortcomings of online rumor governance in China’s response to public health emergencies,including the imperfect laws and regulations related to online rumor governance,the existence of information barriers,the poor quality of rumor reproof news and the lack of rumor warning mechanism.To further explore the causes behind it,the main reasons include the truth dilemma in the post-truth era,the lack of public trust of local government and the outdated concept of government rumor governance.Finally,it proposes to build a multi-agent cooperative governance mechanism with government leading,media guiding and public participation,and fully apply new network technologies such as big data into the practice of network rumor governance in public health emergencies.
