Study On The Role Of Government In The Development Of Private Hospitals In Zhengzhou

Since the start of the new medical reform in 2009,our private hospitals have entered a period of rapid development,social capital has increased investment in the medical market,and the number and proportion of our private hospitals have continued to increase.However,the development of private hospitals started late,the foundation of scientific research personnel is weak,the technology is backward,government policy support is insufficient,and technical funds are limited.Private hospitals are facing many problems.The government’s strengthening of its role in the development of private hospitals has become a practical problem that needs to be resolved urgently.This article takes Zhengzhou private hospitals as an example,uses new public management theory,government failure theory,information asymmetry theory,and uses research methods such as questionnaires and interviews to target both private hospital staff and patients seeking treatment in private hospitals.A total of 400 questionnaires were issued,and 384 questionnaires were returned,of which 374 were valid questionnaires,with an efficiency of 97.4%.At the same time,8 questions were designed to interview managers of private hospitals,health and health commissions and relevant leaders of environmental protection departments.The questionnaire data and interview data were sorted and analyzed,and it was concluded that the government’s role in the development of private hospitals was insufficient.The main manifestations were: the government’s unclear positioning of private hospitals,insufficient guidance for the development of private hospitals,and medical insurance policies that are unfavorable to private hospitals.Issues such as insufficient incentives and subsidies for private hospitals,and imperfect laws and regulations for the development of private hospitals.Based on the experience of private hospital development at home and abroad,combined with the actual situation in Zhengzhou,a series of countermeasures and suggestions are put forward,including fully understanding the role of private hospitals,strengthening the guiding role of private hospitals,establishing medical insurance policies conducive to the development of private hospitals,increasing the support for private hospitals’ award and subsidy funds,improving the rules and regulations for the development of private hospitals,etc.This dissertation has a certain reference for the theoretical and practical research in related fields.
