Object:Since osteoarthritis is most prevalent in the knee and affects patients the most,a questionnaire was used to investigate the factors affecting the adoption of total knee replacement in patients with intermediate and advanced knee osteoarthritis and to explore the factors affecting patients’ willingness to undergo surgery. Methods:From September 2019 to October 2020,outpatients diagnosed with intermediate and advanced knee osteoarthritis in the First Affiliated Hospital of Shihezi University School of Medicine and inpatients diagnosed with osteoarthritis in hospital were investigated, and questionnaires such as general information, knee HSS score standard, visual analogue pain score(VAS score)and brief health scale(SF-12)were collected. The data were statistically analysed using the statistical software SPSS 20.0.The data were reviewed to understand the factors influencing the willingness to undergo surgery at home and abroad, and the factors were analysed in the light of the actual clinical situation. Results:A total of 370 questionnaires were returned in this study,of which 362 were valid,62 in the willing group and 302 in the non-willing group. The differences in age, education,VAS score 1-4,VAS score 8-10,OA staging,HSS score,SF-12 MCS and SF-12 PCS between the two groups were statistically significant(P < 0.05),while the differences in gender, body mass index(BMI),previous history and VAS score between 5-7 were not statistically significant(P > 0.05).Conclusion:The willingness to undergo total knee arthroplasty in patients with intermediate and advanced knee osteoarthritis is closely related to age, education level,VAS score,OA staging,HSS score,SF-12 MCS and SF-12 PCS.
