Objective:To explore the effective treatment of patients with benign paroxysmal positional vertigo(BPPV)and to analyze the risk factors affecting the recurrence of disease, the clinical features of patients with benign paroxysmal positional vertigo was analyzed by comparing the therapeutic effect of combined manual reduction and western medicine treatment group. Methods:From July 2015 to July 2016,124 BPPV patients who were treated in the outpatient and emergency department of Lianyungang traditional Chinese medicine hospital were divided into control group and observation group with 62 cases in each group according to different treatment methods. The clinical characteristics of the selected patients were analyzed, and the therapeutic effect and recurrence rate of the two treatment methods were compared.Patients were divided into relapse group and non relapse group according to whether relapse or not,so as to analyze the risk factors of relapse. Results:In 124 patients with BPPV,the prevalence of BPPV varied with age(p<0.05).The largest proportion of patients aged 50-59 was 30.65%.73 cases of female patients accounted for 58.9%,51 cases of male patients 41.1%.BPPV patients are more common in women. The types of diseases included 99 cases of posterior semicircular canal(79.8%),16 cases of horizontal semicircular canal(12.9%)and 9 cases of bilateral posterior semicircular canal(7.3%).The curative effect of all patients was observed within 10 days after treatment. The results showed that the effective rate of the observation group was 91.9%,significantly higher than that of the control group(79.0%).The difference was significant(p<0.05).All patients were followed up for one month after treatment to evaluate the recurrence of patients. The results showed that the recurrence rate of patients in the observation group was 14.5%,which was significantly lower than 83.9%in the control group(p<0.05).The DHI scores of the two groups were evaluated one month after treatment. The results showed that there was no significant difference in DHI somatic score, functional score, emotional score and total score between the two groups before treatment(p>0.05).After treatment, the scores of the two groups were significantly improved compared with those before treatment(p<0.05),and the somatic and functional scores of the observation group were significantly improved(p<0.05).The patients were divided into recurrence group and non-recurrence group according to the recurrence situation after treatment. The two groups were compared in terms of gender, age, type of disease, hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia and treatment. The proportion of age over 45,hypertension,diabetes mellitus and drug therapy alone in the onset group was higher than that in the non-recurrence group, and the difference was statistically significant(p<0.05).Conclusions:In the course of BPPV treatment, drug combined with manual reduction can ensure better therapeutic effect, and the recurrence rate is low, which is worthy of popularization and application. There are many factors related to BPPV recurrence, including drug therapy alone, hypertension and diabetes mellitus, which may lead to recurrence.Measures must be taken to prevent BPPV patients who have been cured for the first time.Recurrence.
