The Clinical Observation Of Tripeptide-Copper(GHK-Cu) In The Treatment Of Androgenetic Alopecia

Objective:Androgenetic alopecia(AGA),also known as seborrheic alopecia and male-pattern alopecia,is the most common type of non-scar hair loss characterized by a shortened anagen and extended telogen during the hair cycle,leading to progressive narrowing of hair follicles and gradual transformation of terminal hairs into vellus hair.With the development of society and the increasing social pressure,the incidence of androgenetic alopecia is getting higher and higher and the onset age getting younger.Nowadays in China,more and more people are suffering from hair loss.AGA affects their image,self-confidence,dating,job hunting and quality of life seriously.There is a growing need to prevent hair loss and promote hair growth.We need to explore more therapeutic methods.Therefore,the clinical efficacy of tripeptide-copper in the treatment of AGA was studied to provide a new method for the treatment of AGA.Methods:The data from patients with androgenetic alopecia in dermatology department of hospital,from September 2019 to December 2020,were collected and analyzed to deepen the epidemiological characteristics of AGA and to study the influence of relevant factors on the age of onset and severity of AGA.Tripeptide-copper,the main component of Xinglai ~Rliquid skin dressing(skin repair type),is massaged into scalp twice a day.Xinglai ~R liquid skin dressing(wash care type)wash hair once every1 to 2 days,and is taken orally together with traditional chinese medicine tablets for 3 months to observe the efficacy and side effects.Results:Altogether 350 dates of AGA patients were collected.The age of treatment varies from 15 to 66 years old,and 37.7%patients fall in21-25.The age of onset ranged from 12 to 56 years old,and 65.1%patients fall in 16-25.the female patients(52.3%)were more than the male patients(47.7%)and 48.3%of the patients with positive family history,13.4%of the patients having smoking habit,14.3%of the patients drinking alcohol,38.3%of the patients consuming spicy food,56.3%of the patients staying up late,lack of sleep or poor sleep quality,and72.9%of the 255 patients with stress,tension,anxiety or excessive thinking.Patients with a negative family history of AGA and women were more likely to seek early systematic treatment.The age of onset was earlier in the patients with positive family history than in the patients with negative family history(P<0.05).No statistically significant difference was observed when it comes to gender,smoking,drinking,spicy food,staying up late,poor sleep quality,lack of sleep,stress,tension and anxiety compared with the severity of the disease(P>0.05).According to BASP classification,Patients with a positive family history of AGA were severer than those with a negative family history.Factors such as earlier onset age was,the older treatment age,positive family history,smoking and drinking were related to the severity of patients(P<0.05).The total effective rate of tripeptide copper(89patients)was 75.28%.The effective rates of patients with 3months,6 months,12 months are 71.79%,75.76%and 82.35%,respectively.Hair loss is improved for an average of 2.88 months and a large number of vellus hairs grow is in the average of 4.02 months.Xinglai Shampoo and tripeptide-copper combination has a significant effects on improving scalp greasy,itching and dandruff.We found No adverse effects were observed.Conclusions:Women with a negative family history of androgenetic alopecia were more likely to seek early systematic treatment.Patients with a positive family history developed the disease at an earlier age,which may be related to paternal inheritance.The rate of female visits is higher than the males,which may be related to the high attention of female patients,or may indicate that the incidence of female patients is gradually increasing.According to BASP classification,AGA is more severe in male patients than in female patients.The earlier onset age,the older treatment age,positive family history,smoking,drinking factors are related to the severity of patients.Tripeptide-copper is safe and effective in the treatment of androgenic alopecia to control alopecia and promote hair growth.Combined with Xinglai Shampoo,it has a significant effect on the improvement of scalp greasiness,itching and dandruff.No significant side effects were found.
