Objective: This research aims to build a set of core competence evaluation index system for pain specialist nurses based on the core competence of general nurses for the field of pain specialist nursing.Provide a certain reference basis for the training,assessment and hierarchical management of pain specialist nurses in the future.In the future,it can optimize the allocation of resources in the field of pain specialist care,promote the homogeneity of pain care services,thereby improve the quality of services in the pain care industry,reduce the pain of patients and promote their recovery.Methods:1.Literature retrieval and analysis: Through retrieval and analysis of literature data on pain,pain nursing,specialist nurses,pain specialist nurses,core competence,core competence of nurses,core competence of specialist nurses,core competence of pain specialist nurses,etc.,analyze the literature on pain specialist nurses and The related theories of its core competence lay a theoretical foundation for the construction of the evaluation index framework.2.Semi-structured interview: This study conducted face-to-face interviews with pain experts(including nursing and medical experts),pain patients with good language skills,and healthy people,and selected departments closely related to pain: pain department,oncology department,orthopedics.Discuss the core competence requirements of pain specialist nurses,and provide a reference for further determining the evaluation indicators.3.Delphi method: 22 experts from 7 provinces including Jiangxi,Shandong,Jiangsu,etc.were conducted 2 rounds of expert letter inquiries,modified,sorted,and analyzed based on expert opinions,and finally determined the core competence evaluation index system of pain specialist nurses.Results:1.Semi-structured interview results: Based on the analysis of the interview data,three themes are sorted out(theme 1: the pain specialist nursing work in my country is still in its infancy and not optimistic;theme 2: the core competencies that the pain specialist nurses should also possess;themes 3.Pain specialist nurses should have specific abilities under each abilities),based on the theme content,a preliminary draft of evaluation indicators including 6 first-level indicators,15 second-level indicators,and 57 third-level indicators was established.2.Expert enthusiasm: The response rates of the two rounds of inquiry forms were95.5% and 90.5%(both greater than 70%).The higher response rate to the letter inquiries indicates that experts are more enthusiastic about participating in this research.3.Expert authority: The expert’s authority coefficient is 0.914(greater than 0.7),indicating that the expert is more authoritative and the result is more reliable.4.Coordination of expert opinions: The CV value ranges of the two rounds of correspondence inquiries to the importance of indicators are 0.000~0.227 and 0.000~0.225(both <0.30),and the Kendall’s W for the two rounds of correspondence inquiries are 0.209 and 0.212 respectively.The level of coordination in the second round was higher than that in the first round,indicating that the opinions in the second round tended to be more consistent.Significance chi-square test is P<0.01,indicating that the difference is statistically significant and has good consistency.5.Index weight coefficients at all levels: the weight range of the first level index is0.1527~0.1727,the weight range of the second level index is 0.2371~0.5146,and the weight range of the third level index is 0.0881~0.5249.Conclusion: This study has finally formed an evaluation index system for the core competence of pain specialist nurses that includes 6 first-level indicators,16 second-level indicators,and 56 third-level indicators.It is scientific and reliable,and can be used for future managers.The training,assessment and hierarchical management of pain specialist nurses provide a certain reference basis.By analyzing the weight coefficients of all levels of indicators,it can lay a theoretical foundation for the focus of evaluating the core competence of pain specialist nurses in the future.
