| Objective:We conducted this study to explore the related factors affecting the5-year survival rate of patients after radical resection of colon cancer, and to provide a certain basis for improving the quality of life and prognosis of patients with colon cancer. Methods:In this study,we retrospectively collected the clinical data of 120 patients with colon cancer who were admitted to the Department of Gastroenterorectal Surgery,China-Japan Friendship Hospital of Jilin University from January 2014 to December 2014.There were 22 related factors were included in the study totally, for example,Gender, age, clinical manifestation, obstruction, hematochezia, weight change),basic diseases previous medical history, history of alcohol and tobacco, nutrition index(propagated,GLOB,HB),NLR,platelet count, perioperative blood transfusion and tumor location(left half colon,right-side colon),TNM staging(muscle layer infiltration, lymph node metastasis, distant metastasis). All patients were followed up by telephone, starting from the date of implementation of surgical treatment and ending at the end of 5 years or the death of the patients. The 5-year survival rate was counted and the influence of various factors on the prognosis of colon cancer patients was analyzed.Excel was used for data recording,SPSS 26.0 was used for statistical analysis, and Kaplan-Meier method was used to analyze the overall survival rate and the influence of single factor on prognosis.Correlation indexes were screened out through the above operations, and then included in Cox risk regression model for multivariate analysis.P < 0.05 was considered to be statistically significant. Results:Of the 120 patients,18 patients were lost to follow-up.Of the 102 patients who were fully followed up,33 patients died, and overall 5-year survival rate was 67.6%.According to univariate analysis, preoperative obstruction, history of alcohol consumption, serum ALB,NLR,depth of muscular invasion(T stage),lymph node metastasis(N stage)and distant metastasis(M stage)had statistical significance for the prognosis of colon cancer patients(P < 0.05).There was no statistical significance in age, gender, hematoecia, complicated underlying diseases(heart disease, hypertension, diabetes),smoking history,Golb,HB,WBC,PLT,perioperative blood transfusion, tumor location, tumor maximum diameter, tumor differentiation degree,or prognosis of colon cancer patients(P > 0.05).Multivariate analysis showed that preoperative obstruction, lymph node metastasis(N stage)and distant metastasis(M stage)were independent influencing factors for 5-year survival after radical resection of colon cancer. Conclusion:The 5-year survival rate of patients from this group undergoing radical resection of colon cancer in our hospital was 67.6%.Preoperative obstruction, tumor stage, depth of muscular layer infiltration(T stage),and lymph node metastasis(N stage)were independent factors influencing the 5-year survival rate of patients undergoing radical resection of colon cancer. The effect of distant rotation on the outcome of colon cancer patients was statistically significant. |
