ObjectiveTo study the effect of time-selected acupoint massage based on the theory of Meridian Flowing Na Zhi clinical on gastrointestinal function of patients after colorectal cancer surgery and provide experimental basis for the clinical applic ation of Meridian Flowing Na Zhi clinical and explore the nursing strategy with reliable curative effect, simple operation and easy promotion for the recovery of gastrointestinal function after colorectal cancer surgery.MethodConvenient sampling method was used to select 112 patients undergoing general anesthesia and laparoscopic assisted colorectal cancer radical surgery in general surgery(five, six, seven, and eight wards)of Henan Cancer Hospital from January2019 to December 2019.Then divide them ra ndomly into a control group and a test group to conduct a randomized controlled trial study.Patients in the control group were given routine postoperative care, and patients in the test group were given time-selected acupoint massage on the basis of routine postoperative care. The method of implementing time-selected acupoint massageis:Selecting main points and matching points according to TCM syndrome differentiation and Meridian Flowing Na Zhiclinical. The massage time is based on the twelve o’clock Qi and blood flow sequence of the Meridian Flowing Na Zhi clinical theory in Chinese medicine;Choosing the most prosperous time when Qi and blood converged to Foot-Yangming stomach(Beijing time 7am to 9am),the most prosperous time when Qi and blood converged to Foot-Taiyin Spleen Meridian(Beijing time 9am to 11am).The massage method is based on the clinical treatment rules of traditional Chinese medicine.Weakness symptoms should be recuperated which can choose the massage method of rubbing or kneading;Excessive symptoms should be reduced which can choose the massage method of pressing or touching. The main point massage needed for 3 to 5minutes,while the matching point massage only for 2 to 3 minutes. Each massage time is about 30 minutes, once a day.The tr eatment begins after the patient is awakened from anesthesia until the end of the patient’s anal exhaustion.Observation of two intervention methods on gastrointestinal function recovery indexes(intestinal sound recovery time, first exhaust time, first bow el movement time)of patients after colorectal cancer surgery.Gastrointestinal symptoms(abdominal pain scores on first, third and fifth day after intervention, bloating score, gastrointestinal reaction score,TCM symptom scores),time of hospitalization aft er surgery, total efficiency of intervention, complications after surgery etc.All data were statistically analyzed by IBM SPSS Statistics 20.0,the test level was α = 0.05.Result1.The difference in recovery time(intestinal sound recovery time, first exhaust time, first bowel movement time)of gastrointestinal function after intervention between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The recovery time of gastrointestinal function in the experimental group after the time-selected acupoint massage was shorter than that in the control group.2.The abdominal pain scores of the two groups of patients after intervention were not statistically significant on the first postoperative day(P>0.05);However,the abdominal pain score was lower than the co ntrol group on the 3rd and 5th day after surgery, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.The differences in abdominal distention score, gastrointestinal reaction score and TCM symptom score after intervention between the two groups we re statistically significant(P<0.05).The bloating scores, gastrointestinal reaction scores, and TCM symptom scores of the patients in the experimental group on the 1,3,and 5 days after intervention were lower than those in the control group.4.There was a statistically significant difference in postoperative hospital stay between the two groups(P<0.05).The postoperative hospital stay of the experimental group was less than that of the control group.5.The difference of intervention effect between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate of intervention in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group.6.There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of complications after surgery between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion1.The time-selected acupoint massage can shorten the recovery time of bowel sounds, the first exhaust time and the first bowel movement of patients after colorectal cancer surgery and promote the recovery of gastrointestinal function after surgery.2.The time-selected acupoint massage can reduce postoperative abdominal pain score, abdominal distension score, gastrointestinal reaction score and TCM symptom score in patients with colorectal cancer, and shown tha t timing massage can improve gastrointestinal function symptoms in patients with colorectal cancer as well.3.Patients in the experimental group were hospitalized less than those in the control group after surgery, which indicated that the time-selected acupoint massage is conducive to promoting patients’ postoperative recovery. In addition,time-selected acupoint massage has the characteristics and advantages of traditional Chinese medicine, which is convenient and inexpensive. It is easy to be accepted by patients, and it is convenient for clinical development, which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
