Abstract/Summary:
[Objective]Immune checkpoint inhibitors benefit the survival of patients with non-small cell lung cancer. Therefore,it is important to better determine the patients most likely to respond to treatment. In order to achieve this goal, new biomarkers are needed to identify beneficial patients. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio and platelet/lymphocyte ratio and their dynamic changes on the efficacy and prognosis of immunotherapy for non-small cell lung cancer.[Methods]A retrospective analysis of 34 patients with first-line non-small cell lung cancer who have received carrelizumab treatment and who have been treated by the First Affiliated Hospital of Bengbu Medical College from October 2019 to August2020.Collect general patient information and immunization The ratio of NLR and PLR before and after treatment was analyzed by Kaplan-Meier method to evaluate the relationship between the dynamic changes of NLR and PLR and the efficacy of immunotherapy.[Results]After two cycles of immunotherapy,NLR2 decreased significantly compared with NLR0,respectively(2.65 ± 1.75)and(3.64 ± 2.05)(P=0.0128);PLR0ranged from 46.15-576.67,PLR2 ranged from 37.50-592.39,PLR2 was the same There was no significant change compared with PLR0,which were(182.17 ±112.43)and(211.65±113.57)(P=0.2159);Kaplan-Meier survival analysis showed:(1)The median PFS in the low NLR0 group was 8.4 months(95%CI:7.198-9.602)Was significantly higher than 4.2 months in the high NLR0group(95%CI:0.233-5.367)(P=0.0033);(2)The median PFS of the low NLR2 group was 9.8 months(95%CI:7.016-12.584)was significantly higher than that in the high NLR2 group 5.6 months(95%CI:2.776-8.424)(P=0.0006)in the group;(3)The median PFS of low PLR was 8.4 months(95%CI:7.216-9.584)was significantly higher than that of the high PLR group at 2.8 months(95%CI:1.160-4.440)(P=0.0220);multivariate analysis showed that NLR0(P=0.014)is an independent predictor of PFS.[Conclusion]In the immunotherapy of non-small cell lung cancer, higher levels of NLR0 are closely related to poor levels of PFS,and the level of NLR is significantly related to dynamic changes and the prognosis of patients with immunotherapy. Therefore,NLR is a good indicator for predicting the efficacy of NSCLC immunotherapy.
