Objective:This thesis aims to comprehensively evaluate the clinical efficacy of shortwave ultraviolet combined with pidotimod in the treatment of moderate or severe allergic rhinitis through clinical research, and contribute to future clinical promotion. Methods:Select 200 cases of moderate or severe AR patients admitted to our hospital from Mar.2019 to Oct.2020,and the outpatient diagnosis complied with the 2018 English version of"Chinese Allergic Rhinitis Diagnosis and Treatment Guidelines".They were randomly divided into 4 groups, group A,group B,group C,and group D,with 50 cases in each group.During the treatment period,17 patients quit and a total of 183 patients were finally included in this research, with 47 patients in group A,45 patients in group B,46 patients in group C,and 45 patients in group D.There was no significant difference between the four groups of general information such as gender, age, disease course and classification(P>0.05),therefore they were comparable. The four groups of patients were all given basic treatments of loratadine and fluticasone propionate nasal spray.Group A received oral pidotimod tablets on the basis of conventional treatment.Group B received short-wave ultraviolet treatment on the basis of conventional treatment.Group C received pidotimod tablets and short-wave ultraviolet treatment on the basis of conventional treatment, and the group D only received conventional treatment. The course of treatment is 4 weeks. The four groups of patients signed the informed consent form(Annex 1)to participate in ENT scientific research before treatment.Define the time period before the first treatment as(T0),the first week as(T1)and the fourth week as(T2).A professional Otolaryngologists who was trained and unrelated to the research performed nasal endoscopy and scored symptoms and signs, and then two other double-blind otolaryngologists who were not involved in the treatment recorded in detail the clinical observation form(Annex 2),the general situation in the questionnaire, scores of symptoms and signs before and after treatment, total effective rate, clinical symptom relief time and recurrence, etc. After the relevant data is input into Excel to establish a database, statistical analysis and description are carried out through SPSS25.0 statistical software.Results:1 Comparison of the total scores of symptoms and signs:In the beginning(T0),the differences in the total scores of symptoms and signs of the four groups of patients were not statistically significant(P>0.05).Compared with T0,the total scores of symptoms and signs in the four groups were significantly reduced(P<0.05)at the period of T1and T2.Compared with group D,the total scores of symptoms and signs in groups A,B and C were significantly reduced(P<0.05)at the period of T1and T2.Compared with groups A and B,the total scores of symptoms and signs in group C were significantly reduced at T1and T2.(P<0.05).2 Compared with group D,the total effective rate of group C at T1and T2was significantly improved(P<0.0083).Compared with group A and group B,the total effective rate of group C at T2was significantly improved(P<0.0083).3 Remission time of clinical symptoms:Compared with group D,the remission time of clinical symptom in group A,B and C was shorter(P<0.05).The comparison results of group A,B,and C was as follows:there was no significant difference in the remission time of nasal congestion in the three groups(P>0.05).Compared with group A,the remission time of nasal itching in group B and C was shorter(P<0.05).Compared with group A and B,the remission time of runny nose and sneezing in group C was shorter(P<0.05).4 Prognosis:There was no significant difference in the recurrence of group A,B and C(P>0.0083).Compared with group D,the recurrence of group A,B,and C were significantly reduced(P<0.0083).Conclusion:Above four treatment methods all can effectively treat moderate or severe allergic rhinitis, improve the symptoms and signs of patients, and have no obvious adverse reactions. However, the combined application of pidotimod and short-wave ultraviolet in the treatment of moderate or severe allergic rhinitis is more effective, the symptom and sign scores decrease more significantly. The symptom remission time is shorter, and the recurrence of the disease can be delayed which has great clinical promotion and application value.
