Objective: To systematically evaluate the clinical efficacy and drug safety of statins in reducing portal hypertension in patients with cirrhosis and provide evidence-based reference for clinical treatment. Methods: By May 2020,the databases of CNKI,Wan Fang,VIP,Pub Med,Embase and Cochrane Library were searched.the relationship between the use of statins and the improvement of portal hypertension in cirrhosis and the drug safety was analyzed.According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, effective data were extracted.adopted Revman 5.3software to analysis. Results: A total of 6 randomized controlled trials were included, with a sample size of 368,among which 3 reported adverse reactions.Meta analysis results showed that statins could effectively reduce portal venous pressure compared with the control group(RR =1.78,95% CI: 1.03~3.08,P=0.04);It can significantly reduce HVPG level(MD =0.93,95% CI:0.19 ~ 1.67,P =0.01).And statin therapy can effectively reduce hepatic portal venous pressure after 1 month(RR=2.12,95% CI: 1.33 ~ 3.39,P=0.002);Decrease HVPG level(MD=1.59,95% CI: 0.54 ~ 2.65,P=0.003),the difference was statistically significant. The incidence of myalgia, the most common adverse reaction, was not statistically significant between the two groups(P >0.05).Conclusion: Statins can effectively reduce portal hypertension and HVPG level in patients with cirrhosis, with fewer adverse reactions and high safety.
