| Objective: To observe the therapeutic effect of Pingchen Sanzi Yangqin Decoction for patients with chronic bronchitis of phlegm-dampness accumulating the lung type during acute attack stage.Methods: A total of 148 patients with chronic bronchitis of phlegm-dampness accumulating the lung type during acute attack stage were enrolled in our hospital from March,2018 to April,2019 in the present study.Patients were randomly divided into a western medicine treatment group(n=72)and an comprehensive treatment group(n=76).The patients in the western medicine treatment group were intervened with conventional western medicine,while those in the comprehensive treatment group were treated with Pingchen Sanzi Yangqin Decoction additionally based on conventional western medicine.The basic formula consists of Rhizoma Atractylodis 15 g,Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae12 g,Cortex Magnoliae Officinalis 10 g,Rhizoma Pinelliae Praeparatum 10 g,Poria 20 g,Radix Glycyrrhizae Preparata 6 g,Semen Sinapis 10 g,Semen Raphani 15 g,Fructus Perillae 12 g.The formula was modified according to the patients’ specific situation.The herbs mentioned above were boiled and simmered until 200 ml decoction,then took the decoction orally in morning and evening,one formula per day.All the formulas were decocted by the pharmacy of our hospital.The course of treatment in both groups was 2weeks.After 2 weeks of treatment,the changes of TCM syndrome score,inflammatory index,blood gas analysis index,pulmonary function,clinical symptom improvement time,follow-up attack times and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups before and after treatment.Results: The total effective rate of the comprehensive treatment group was 98.68%,which was significantly higher than that of the western medicine treatment group(91.67%),and there was a statistical difference between the two groups(P<0.05).Before the treatment,no significant difference was found in the TCM syndrome scores between the two groups(P>0.05),while the scores were obviously decreased both in the two groups after treatment(P <0.05),and the decreased scores in the comprehensive treatment group was more significantly than that in the western medicine treatment group(P<0.05).As for the levels of C-reactive protein,interleukin-6 and interleukin-8,it lacked statistically differences between the two groups before treatment(P> 0.05).However,these three inflammation indexes after treatment were significantly decreased compared with those in the same group before treatment(P<0.05).The decreased levels of the three inflammation indexes in the comprehensive treatment group were more significantly,and there was a statistical difference as compared with those in the western medicine treatment group at the same period(P<0.05).The total effective rate of TCM syndrome improvement efficacy in the comprehensive treatment group was 98.68%,which was significantly higher than that in the western medicine treatment group(91.67%),and the difference between two groups was significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the values of Pa O2,Pa CO2 and Sa O2 in blood gas analysis between the two groups before treatment(P> 0.05).After treatment,the values of Pa O2 and Sa O2 in the two groups increased,and the level of Pa CO2 in the two groups decreased.The change in the comprehensive treatment group was more obvious,with a statistical difference(P<0.05).Before treatment,VCmax,FEV1,FEV1 / FVC in the pulmonary function of patients both in the two groups were not statistically significant(P>0.05),nevertheless,all of them were improved after treatment,and the degree of improvement in the comprehensive treatment group was notably better than that in the western medicine treatment group(P<0.05),accompanied by a statistical difference(P<0.05).The improvement time of clinical symptoms including cough,expectoration,asthma and suffocation in the comprehensive treatment group was obviously shorter than that in the western medicine treatment group,and the difference was significant(P<0.05).The number of follow-up attacks in the comprehensive treatment group was significantly lower than that of the western medicine treatment group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the comprehensive treatment group was 3.95%,lower than that in the western medicine treatment group(5.56%),but there was no statistical significance(P>0.05).Conclusion: Pingchen Sanzi Yangqin Decoction can improve the TCM syndromes of patients with chronic bronchitis in the acute attack stage,decrease inflammatory indexes,improve blood gas analysis indicators,perfect pulmonary function,Reduce the number of attacks and shorten clinical symptoms relief time period.Furthermore,the formula causes low incidence of side effects and has satisfactory safety. |
