Objective: To investigate the levels of interleukin-6 and tumor necrosis factor-ɑ in peripheral blood serum of patients with chronic periodontitis complicated with coronary heart disease, and to analyze their correlation with clinical and biochemical indicators of coronary heart disease. Methods: A total of 87 patients admitted to the Department of Cardiology and Stomatology of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region People’s Hospital from April 2020 to March 2021 were collected as the research subjects, including 16 in the control group,21 in the CP group,25 in the CHD group, and 25 in the CP and CHD group. The general information of all subjects including age, sex, height and weight was collected. The periodontal pocket depth and bleeding index were recorded.Clinical and biochemical indicators of coronary heart disease of all subjects were collected, and serum interleukin-6and tumor necrosis factor-ɑ concentrations were detected by ELISA,and SPSS25.0statistical software was used to analyze the differences in periodontal parameters, clinical biochemical indexes and laboratory indexes of coronary heart disease among all groups, and the correlation analysis was leaded. To explore the clinical significance of interleukin-6 and tumor necrosis factor-ɑ in patients with chronic periodontitis and coronary heart disease.Results:(1)Periodontal index: There were no significant differences in probing depth and bleeding index between the H group and the CHD group(P>0.05).Probing depth and bleeding index in the H group and CHD group were lower than those in the CP group and the CP+CHD group; They in the CP group were lower than those in the CP+CHD group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).(2)There were no significant differences in the age, sex, body mass index,high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, low density lipoprotein cholesterol and triglyceride among all groups(P > 0.05).(3)Tumor necrosis factor-ɑ,interleukin-6 levels among four groups the H group < the CHD group < the CP group < the CP + CHD,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Probing depth and bleeding index were positively correlated with necrosis factor-ɑ(r=0.769,0.640,P < 0.05),and interleukin-6(r=0.761,0.657,P < 0.05);There was no correlation between tumor necrosis factor-ɑ,interleukin-6and Lipid levels(P>0.05).Conclusions: The levels of inflammatory factors tumor necrosis factor-ɑ and interleukin-6 are significantly increased in patients with chronic periodontitis and coronary heart disease. This means these factors have a role in the happening and progression of chronic periodontitis and coronary heart disease.
