A Study On The Interpersonal Relationship Experience Of People With Mental Disabilities In Rehabilitation

According to the data released by the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention in 2015,there are currently about 173 million people in my country with various degrees of mental disorders.As of 2018,the number of people with severe mental disorders registered in my country has reached 5.994 million.More than 90% of people with mental disorders live in the community.People with mental disorders have become a relatively large group in our country.Mental diseases are repetitive and lifelong,which not only cause long-term physical damage to the mentally disabled,but also damage the social function of the patient.At the same time,people with mental disorders may be accompanied by destructive behaviors when they get sick,making them inevitably the targets of labeling and discrimination by the general public,which seriously affects the daily life and social life of this group.In such an environment,the space for activities of people with mental disorders is greatly restricted,and the range of groups they can reach in daily life is also very small,and the interpersonal circle is often narrow.Therefore,the author tries to focus on their daily interpersonal communication to examine the life experience of this group.This research aims to present the subjectivity of the interactions between the mentally handicapped during the rehabilitation period and their family members,relatives,students,professionals and community members from the space of Sunshine Soul Park,hospital,family and community.Use the phenomenological method of life experience to describe their interpersonal relationships and reflect on their life world,so as to increase the understanding of the life experience of the mentally disabled during the rehabilitation period,and inspire social workers and other professionals to better provide services for the mentally disabled during the rehabilitation period,and improve The living conditions of the mentally handicapped during the rehabilitation period promote the development of mental health social work.This study summarizes the interpersonal interactions of persons with mental disorders during rehabilitation into four themes,namely: interactions with people who have suffered from mental disorders-covenants and boundaries;interactions with professionals-rationality and repression;and Communication between family members and friends-harmony and conflict;communication with people in the community-prejudice and sympathy.Studies have found that in the interactions between people with mental disabilities and people who have suffered from mental disorders during the rehabilitation period,due to the same identity and illness experience,the interaction between the two parties is very subjective,and it will encourage them to unite and maintain the harmony of the Sunshine Soul Park.Atmosphere,but there is also a “ discrimination chain ” of making friends;the interaction with professionals mainly stays at the level of professional relations,and the interactions with different occupations show different characteristics;the interactions with family members and friends are divided into harmony and conflict.Facing the alienation of family members and friends will also be supported;people with mental disabilities and community members are separated and discriminated in their interactions,making it difficult to integrate into community life.Based on this research,the author tries to make suggestions for improving the interpersonal relationship of the mentally disabled during the rehabilitation period.First,pay attention to the family relationship of the mentally disabled during the rehabilitation period and enter the family field to carry out service work.Second,strengthen the construction of the Sunshine Soul Park.And construction,to promote the professional development of Sunshine Soul Park management staff.Third,pay attention to their life experience and subjective experience,listen to and respect the service target,promote their subjective expression,and provide more appropriate services.Fourth,build a supportive and friendly community to provide a tolerant interpersonal environment for people with mental disorders.Finally,when performing services,social workers must be alert to the suppression of interactive subjectivity by tool rationality,advocate the return of artistic social work,and bring love back to the center of social work again.This inspires social workers to better carry out mental health-related services in order to provide more effective services to this group.
