Objective:Based on the theory of the latent pathogen, this paper objectively eva luates the efficacy and safety of the Huangbai powder in the treatment of children’s R ecurrent Respiratory Tract Infection of lung spleen latent fire syndrome, and further ve rifies the effectiveness of treating this disease from latent pathogen,so as to raise a n ew thought and direction for the treatment and Research of this disease in the future. Methods:According to the established screening criteria, the patients were selected, and finally 60 cases were selected as the trial subjects. The treatment group(30 cases)was treated with Huangbai powder, and the control group(30 cases)was treated with pidotimod oral liquid. They were treated for 4 weeks and followed up for 1 year.During the whole experiment period, the adverse reactions,TCM syndromes after the treatment, and the conditions of the disease within 1 year were recorded.Results:1.Before treatment, the baseline data of the two groups was without statistic difference which was comparable(P>0.05).2.For the cure rate, the treatment group(26.7%)performed better than the control group(6.7%)(P<0.05).3.In terms of disease condition, the control group was not as good as the treatment group in reducing the number of recurrence and shortening the single course of disease(P<0.05);but they had no difference in reducing the types of diseases(P>0.05).In terms of total efficiency, the treatment group(90.0%)performed much better than the control group(76.6%)(P<0.05).4.At the aspect of TCM syndrome,Each syndrome of the two groups was signif icantly improved compared with themselves before the experiment(P<0.01);the treatm ent group had better effect on thirst, halitosis, aphtha, dry stool and hot flashes in thehands and feet than the control group(P<0.05),but they had no difference in the ef fect on yellow urine condition(P>0.05).In terms of total efficiency, the treatment gro up(93.3%)performed much better than the control group(70.0%)(P<0.05).5.There was no difference between the two groups at the aspect of adverse react ions(P>0.05).Conclusion:1.While treating the children’s RRTI with lung spleen latent fire syndrome, the Huangbai powder can improve the cure rate, reduce the number of recurrence, shorten the single course of disease, and relieve the symptoms of children’s thirst, halitosis, aphtha, dry stool, hot flashes in the hands and feet. The curative effect is definite, and the prescription itself did not cause adverse reactions, which is worthy of promotion.2.It is effective and feasible to treat children’s RRTI from the perspective of late nt pathogen. It is a new way to treat this disease, which is worthy of deep exploratio n and discussion in the future.
