Study On The Correlation Between The Characteristics Of TCM Infrared Imaging And The Risk Of Frailty And Fall In The Elderly

Aim:Using infrared thermal imaging technology(IRT)to investigate the TCM theory of "relationship" back an abdomen,"du meridian and acupoints,"’Inner Canon of the Yellow Emperor’ in facial partition "content,and evaluation of falls in older syndrome,neurasthenia,for the infrared thermal imaging technology used in Chinese medicine theory exploration and the elderly elderly comprehensive forecast provide objective data to support.Methods:This study was completed in Emeishan Civil Affairs Welfare Home of Sichuan Province from October 2020 to December 2020.Atotal of 125 self-care elderly(Barthel>90 points)were enrolled in the welfare home,including 60 males and 65 females.Age:80～97 years old,volunteer to participate in this infrared thermal imaging test.The corresponding baseline data,general vital signs and assessment scales were collected,and infrared thermal imaging images of the whole body were also collected.Results:In" Relationship between back an abdomen",the maximum(71.2%),minimum(62.4%)and average(66.4%)temperature of the anterior part of the trunk were all higher than that of the back part.In the temperature relation of "Du meridian and its acupuncture point",the temperature of Dazhui Point,Zhiyang Point,Mingmen Point,Yaoyangguan Point are in positive distribution with the temperature of Du meridian,Mingmen Point has the highest temperature,followed by Yayangguan point,Dazhui point and Zhiyang point.In the correspondence between zang-fu viscera and facial organs,client "left face" and "eyes"(" liver ")are the highest correlation(78%),followed by the "right" and "nose" corresponding "lung"(73%),and then "oral" and"nose" corresponding "spleen"(65.11%),and finally the "chin" and "ears"corresponding "kidney"(44%),"forehead" and "tongue"(" heart ")is less than half(30.95%)of the correlation.In geriatric syndrome,body temperature predicted fall risk by 68.8%,and hand temperature and grip strength combined with BMI predicted frailty by 84.2%.Conclusion:The use of infrared thermal imaging technology can not only help to explore the true state of the theories of "Yin and Yang" and "cold and heat" of the human body,especially the elderly in traditional Chinese medicine,but also can make effective,objective and visual risk prediction of falling and weakness for the elderly.
