| Retrieval-induced Forgetting is consisted of Within-individual-retrieval-induced forgetting and socially shared retrieval-induced forgetting.The retrieval-practice of speaker can induced forgetting of related material in the speaker and listener,the speaker’s retrieval-induced forgetting is called Within-individual-retrieval-induced forgetting(WI-RIF),the listener’s retrieval-induced forgetting is called socially shared retrieval-induced forgetting(SS-RIF).This study explored the role of emotion on retrieval-induced forgetting,including the emotion of material and the affective state.We also explored the development of the role of emotion on retrieval-induced forgetting about adolescence.Experiment 1 focused on the role of emotional material on retrieval-induced forgetting.The materials had extreme positive,medium positive,medium negative,extreme negative materials.Experiment 2 was about the role of affective state on retrieval-induced forgetting.The emotional.pictures was from the Chinese Affective Picture System,including extreme positive,medium positive,neutral,medium negative,extreme negative pictures.The listeners was consisted into the high anxiety and the low anxiety listeners.Experiment 3 explored the development in the role of affective state on retrieval-induced forgetting,the subjects was students in grade5,grade8 and grade11.the speaker and listener were classmates.The conclusions as follow:First,the speakers only showed the WI-RIF in medium positive material,the speakers exhibited a positivity bias and a negativity averse in memory.The result showed the emotional intensity of positive material influenced the RIF,but the emotional intensity of negative material didn’t influence the RIF.Second,The speakers and listeners showed RIF in all affective state,this result didn’t support the affect as information hypothesis.The intensity of state and susceptibility to emotion didn’t infuluence RIF.Third,The speakers and listeners showed the RIF in all grade,and the speaker in grade 5 showed larger WI-RIF than grade 11.This result didn’t support the inhibition hypotheses.As the adolescent grow older,in all state,the speakers’ WI-RIF kept the same level.Forth,SS-RIF is a very stable effect,the age,affective state and the stress trait can’t influence the SS-RIF. |
