| After the Treaty of Nanjing was signed in 1842,aliens entered China one after another. With the passage of time,by the 1930s,there were 300,000 aliens in China. After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War in an all-round way, many foreigners still chose to remain in China. With the outbreak of the Pacific War in 1941,Japanese-occupied overseas Chinese were arrested and detained in Shanghai,Hong Kong,Guangzhou,Weihsien and other places.Taking Weihsien internment camp in Shandong Province as the research object, this paper tries to clarify the management mode and its causes of the allied overseas Chinese internment camp. The whole thesis is divided into four parts. The first chapter mainly expounds the forming background and forming process of Weihsien internment camp in Shandong province. The second chapter discusses the management of Weihsien internment camp in Japan.Including the guidelines and implementation of Japan’s management of Weihsien internment camp;the supply of materials and how to control;Japan’s control of the freedom of allied overseas Chinese and punishment measures. The third chapter deals with the management of Weihsien internment camp by the self-government committee. In the camp, the overseas Chinese have set up an autonomous committee composed of nine representatives of the allied overseas Chinese, which is responsible for managing the concrete operation of the camp. The fourth chapter focuses on the reasons why Japan manages Weihsien internment camp, among which Japan is well shaped. The international image consideration, also has many external forces and its checks and balances factors.Generally speaking,in the World War II,Weihsien internment camp management model presented characteristics,on the one hand, compared with the traditional perception of internment camps,Japan did not have massacres, gun executions,ill-treatment and labor camp detainees. But on the other hand,Weihsien internment camp is not a completely free "international community",Japan limits allied overseas Chinese in a specific space, depriving them of their personal rights. This management pattern is representative in the overseas Chinese internment camps, and the related research is helpful to reveal the common characteristics of such camps. |
