An Assessment And Study Of Cultural & Creative Industries Niche State And Potential And Niche Efficiency In Shanghai

With economic globalization,information technology,urbanization accelerating,the various countries and regions,competition has become increasingly fierce.Whether a country and region can occupy a favorable position in the competition,the key is to enhance its comprehensive strength.Culture has become an significant source of national creativity,having become an important factor in the competition of comprehensive national strength.Shanghai,as an international metropolis and the center of the Yangtze River Delta city group,has the huge supply and demand capacity of cultural industries.In recent years,in order to serve the upgrading of industrial structure,Shanghai attaches great importance to the development of cultural industries,with issuing different kinds of policies to promote developing cultural industries,and achieving obvious results.But the cultural industry is unique,which is different from the manufacturing sector and other service industries.There are still many problems in promoting the development of cultural industries.The paper measured and analyzed the niche width,overlap and "state" and "potential" of nine sub-industries of cultural and creative industry with use of the niche theory and corresponding measurement methods.According to “state” and “potential” combination,it divides them into four quadrants,and calculates their comprehensive niche based on the distribution of “state” and “potential”.In addition,Niche efficiency evaluation can help companies understand their development status and shortcomings,which help enterprises dominate position in the business ecosystem.This paper used the method of super-DEA to measure and analyzed their niche status efficiency.Finally,based on the "state" and the "potential" of diagnosis,as well as a comprehensive analysis of niche efficiency,we make relevant suggestions about Shanghai cultural and creative industry development.
