Study On Modes Of Narrative Of Documentaries For Civilians

To record ordinary people is to record the age itself.The civilian-themed documentary records and shows the true human nature.Through stories,it can show the real existence of an ordinary life and express the humanistic spirit,so this kind of documentary has the value of research and creation.Some phenomena of the civilian subject doc umentary deserve attention,and some problems deserve to be explored and examined: the civilian-themed documentary is about the story of civilians,and the common themes in these real lives are often influenced by propaganda and stereotypes,so it tends to be looked up,overlooked,sympathetic or praised,and thus failing to show the lives of ordinary people.It is the main problem which the paper wants to discuss and solve.Starting from this point,based on the documentary " Times flies away " produced by myself,this paper chooses to study the production of the documentary film on the civilian subject in the perspective of narrative.By analyzing more than 20 of civilian subject documentaries selected in China from 1949 to date as research objects,this paper divides its developm ent into f ive phases: the brewing stage,the starting stage,the development stage,the prosperous stage and the expansion stage.It uses various research method of film and televis ion narrative,communication,polit ical economics and other theories and knowledge comprehensively to analyze the characteristics of each stage,and explore the reasons and signif icance behind the development.From the three angles of narrative perspective,narrative language and narrative plot,this paper studies the narrative of the civilian theme documentaries,and explores how to tell stories better in the civilian theme documentaries.
