A Study On The Interaction Between The Efficacious Story And Folk Beliefs

First of all,the efficacious story is a story that is circulated among the people about the manifestation of deity in response to believer behavior or prayer.Folk beliefs have close relations with efficacious stories,which are valuable culture material for the study of folk beliefs.Secondly,efficacious stories include classic sacred stories and proliferative stories.The proliferative story refers to the surreal manifestation of the gods in the enshrined temple,which responds to people ’ s prayers,precepts,promotion of goodness and evil,and specifically describes the interaction between the deities and the people.The increasing number of efficacious stories can activate the divinity of the deities and make them rejuvenate continuously.The spiritual stories are a significant element for the continued development of folk beliefs.Moreover,people act on their beliefs in daily life.According to their life demands and experience,people gradually produce and constitute a whole set of local-belief knowledge and carry out various social exchanges and practical activities on the basis of sharing the knowledge.The efficacious story is a strategy that people often use when constructing local-belief knowledge,and it is also the major way to create and inherit these local knowledges.This essay uses efficacious stories as the research object to interpret the belief logic of modern folk beliefs.The first chapter mainly collects and categorizes efficacious stories,which are divided into seven different forms according to content attributes,such as punishment,retribution,epiphany,asylum,appeal,etc.The fear,norms and gratitude effects of the story construct and maintain the beliefs needed for people’s daily life.The second chapter mainly uses narratological theoretical methods to analyze the narrative characteristics and narrative strategies of efficacious stories.From the perspective of narrative features,techniques and pseudo-realization of efficacious story narratives,it analyzes how efficacious stories gain people’s approval and believable.The third chapter mainly uses the theoretical method of anthropology to explore the interaction between efficacious story and belief,from the construction-efficacious stories raise the belief authority of divine characters;the explanation-efficacious stories expound life events,how the public can use the efficacious story as a strategy to construct local belief knowledge;the empathy-the efficacious stories heal the believer’s psychology.In these three aspects to analyze the function and significance of efficacious story to the belief itself,to public life and the public psychology.
