The History Of Xuzhou Newspapers And Periodicals Development In The Republic Of China （1913-1948）

Before 1913,the development of Xuzhou heavy industry was relatively rapid,and journalism had been in a blank state.Until 1913,Xuzhou Newspaper came into being with the spread of the new ideas and culture of the Revolution of 1911.During the 35 years from 1913 to 1948 after the Revolution of 1911,more than 50 newspapers and more than 30 periodicals were founded in Xuzhou.From a nationwide perspective,the newspaper industry in Xuzhou started relatively late.This is because the entire East China region extended to coastal areas centered on Shanghai and Nanjing,and did not radiate inland areas.As a matter of fact,as a transportation hub,since the start of the newspaper industry,the development of journalism has changed rapidly with remarkable achievements.In the research,the author collected a large amount of first-hand materials,including the original microcosm of newspapers and periodicals,provincial records,and municipal records,etc.,thus ensuring the comprehensiveness of the research.This article takes the development of Xuzhou newspapers from 1913 to 1948 as the research object,analyzes the general situation of Xuzhou newspapers and periodicals according to the time context and the social background of different periods,and then summarizes the development characteristics of Xuzhou newspapers and periodicals in different periods,and explains the era of Xuzhou newspapers in the Republic of China Features and historical impact.This article consists of four parts,which are divided into seven chapters,including the introduction,the analysis of the social background of Xuzhou newspapers in various periods,the general situation and development characteristics of newspapers and periodicals,the era characteristics of Xuzhou newspapers and periodicals and their historical influence and conclusion.The first part is an introduction,which clarifies the research background of Xuzhou newspapers and periodicals,the significance of topic selection,the domestic local news history and the research status and methods of the history of Xuzhou newspapers and periodicals.The second part is the main body of the thesis.There are four chapters in total.The second chapter analyzes the historical background of Xuzhou newspapers and periodicals,and summarizes the development characteristics of the budding period with the development of newspapers and periodicals.They are single content,similar purpose of running newspapers,and low circulation.The third chapter analyzes the historical environment of Xuzhou newspapers and periodicals during the Great Revolution,and summarizes the development characteristics of the newspapers and periodicals during the period of the Great Revolution.They are in a difficult situation,lack of talents,and tight funding.Chapter IV,by analyzing the special situation during the Anti-Japanese War,combined with the development of newspapers and periodicals,summarized the characteristics of the development during the Anti-Japanese War.There are many types of newspapers,multiple founders,and clear themes of newspaper content.Chapter V,by analyzing the social environment of Xuzhou during the Liberation War and combining the development of newspapers and periodicals,summarizes the characteristics of the development of newspapers and periodicals during the Liberation War.They are relatively complete organizational structure,more professional newspapers and richer content.The third part explores the characteristics of the times and historical influence of the development of Xuzhou newspapers from the three levels of economy,culture and society.The fourth part is the conclusion.Through the study of Xuzhou newspapers and periodicals,Xuzhou newspapers and periodicals are divided into four stages: germination,development,prosperity,and decline.The characteristics presented in each period are different,which is closely related to the social environment at that time.Xuzhou newspapers and periodicals also have their special research value in the entire historical process.The particularity from geographical location to strategic position directly affects the development process of Xuzhou newspapers and periodicals.
