| People often judge actors as well as directors by the typical comment: “Your works can speak”.Figuring out the way to export a good work with quality and value is the goal of many drama educators.How to guide child actors to create vivid,lovely and real stage characters as a children’s drama worker? I believe that this is a challenging and valuable research direction for children’s drama educators.Currently,in the environment of examination-oriented education and utilitarian art performance institutions,children act overwhelmingly uniform and ignore personality.This kind of trend not only restrains the development of children’s personality,but also depletes their nature,imagination and creativity gradually.How to avoid the situation that,child actors saying lines in settled way;their body movements are repetitive and stereotyped?We know that child actors do not have abundant stage experience as adult actors do,and it is difficult to create independently as adult actors.In view of the particularity of child actors,through their own continuous practices and attempts,we find a very good teaching method to assist child actors to create—— educational drama.Educational drama is a general term for drama teaching in school curriculum in many countries.It is a systematic and experiential way of teaching and learning,which is also a creative and interactive way of education.It can stimulate,encourage and attract children to form a kinesthetic learning mode,let children "do" and "experience" actively.It also encourages children to participate in the learning process,gives full play to their imagination,ignite their independent thinking,promotes their free expression,and stimulates self-creation ability.As a medium of learning,it promotes people’s ability to self-development and helps them get better understanding of themselves.People also gain experiences to communicate and cooperate with others.Drama is a virtual situation,a "fake play" and an actor’s "believe it" devotion to actual combat.Therefore,on the one hand,drama provides a safe environment for participants to have the courage to try boldly and explore the "uncertainty" without worrying about the consequences;on the other hand,drama provides a real environment for experience so that participants can actually get touch from the process of performance.Child actors can start to "really listen,really see and really feel" under the concept of drama education.There is no absolute distinction between actors and audiences.Everyone is an audience.In this process,they learn to respect and cooperate,to observe different role positions.They also observe responsibilities and perspectives.In that way,child actors can be three-dimensional in the team.It helps them make more sense to understand the characters,master the prescribed situation,experience the real feelings of the characters,and find the materials to shape the characters. |
