Applied Research On Emotional Expression In Coleville’s Picture

Alex Colville is a famous Canadian painter who is also influential around the world.Most of his creations originate from daily life and inner memory.In a calm,rational and emotional expression,he presents thoughts of love and trust between people in his works depicting intimate relationships.This seemingly contradictory combination permeates the painter’s personal beliefs and moral values,and has a very important reference value and reference value for the subjects that express intimacy in contemporary art creation.This article attempts to proceed from the formal language of Coleville’s paintings,and explores how he uses rational techniques to express the reflection and perception of intimate relationships in the picture.The whole is divided into three parts.First of all,the art life of Colville is combed from the perspective of artistic value and ideology;then the image analysis method is used to analyze and summarize the formal characteristics of his works from the perspective of the composition of the picture,the modeling method and the relationship of colors.;Finally discusses the influence and inspiration of Coleville’s painting language on his creative practice.Through combing and analyzing the formal language of Coleville’s painting and his own creative practice,summarizing methods and experiences,I hope to have a positive guiding role for himself and other artists in the way of painting.
