| At present,there have been results of research on the appellation of Xi’an dialect,but there are few achievements that take the whole system of appellation of Xi’an dialect as the research object.This article studies Xi’an dialect appellation as an independent system,sorting through the Xi’an dialect appellation materials by investigating in the field,and then by using the methods of objective description,comparative analysis,typical analysis,this paper strives to make an overall and systematic analysis of the appellation of Xi’an dialect and describes its characteristics from an overall perspective based on the three aspects of the language includings the structure,semantics and pragmatics.The first chapter is an introduction,which mainly introduces the general situation of Xi’an’s geography,history and population,clarifies the research status of Xi’an dialect appellation,and in the end,the research significance,content and method on this paper are also accounted.The second chapter summarizes the classification of the predecessor’s symmetrical predicate system,and elaborates the classification basis and main contents of each category of the Xi’an dialect appellation.The third chapter compares the morphological aspects of the Xi’an dialect’s appellation and the Mandarin appellation,and analyzes the morphological features of the Xi’an dialect’s appellation.It mainly expounds from four parts: the number of syllables,the components of word formation,the way of word formation,and the reasons for word formation.The fourth chapter analyzes the appellation of Xi’an dialect.It focuses on comparing the semantic similarities and differences between Xi’an dialect appellation and mandarin appellation in terms of lexical meaning and color meaning.The fifth chapter presents a pragmatic analysis of appellations in Xi’an dialect.It discusses four pragmatic phenomena in Xi’an dialect appellation,such as strict distinction between young and old age,gender alienation,lack of appellation and complement,and terms based on the tones of other relatives.The last chapter makes a conclusion for this research and put forward some deficiencies.This paper finds that in terms of morphology,both of Xi’an dialect appellation and Mandarin appellation use monosyllables to refer to the closer kinship relationship.Besides using the basic word formation method,the Xi’an dialect appellation also has some distinctive word formations,such as superposition,envy and expansion.In terms of semantics,according to the difference between the word surface and the meaning of the word,the categories of word meaning differences are subdivided into four types to explore.The pragmatics also discusses four pragmatic phenomena in Xi’an dialect appellation,for example,strict distinction between young and old age,gender alienation,lack of appellation and complement,and terms based on the tones of other relatives,and especially analyzes the overlap-type terms based on the tones of other relatives in Xi’an dialect produced by the retention of the transitional state during the evolution of the Chinese appellation system. |
