In recent years,with the increasing importance of education,the Ministry of Education and the society pay more and more attention to the education of young people,so teachers are also valued from all walks of life.Nowadays,teachers are burdened with a variety of professional pressures,which mainly come from the following aspects: central pressure--teaching difficulties encountered in the teaching environment or problems in the relationship between teachers and colleagues,communication problems with students’ parents,etc.;External stressors--the life situation the teacher is in or the major life changes he or she has suffered,etc.Situational pressure--teachers’ psychological state,teachers’ physical and mental development,teachers’ temperament type and so on all determine their psychological state when facing problems.All these pressures described above make teachers unable to devote themselves to their work,and as time goes by,they will easily lose their enthusiasm and interest in their work.In the 1970 s,American scholars put forward the concept of job burnout.Through the investigation of job burnout in various industries,they pointed out that job burnout mainly occurred in some industries dealing with people,among which nurses in hospitals and teachers in schools were typical representatives.Second,the teaching of English education to other disciplines,English as one of the most commonly used language in the world today,its importance is self-evident,but for remote areas of the countryside junior middle school students,because they grew up with a good no English language environment influence,and parents for children’s English education also lack certain experience,and curriculum for the students is more high,junior high school students were asked to the four skills such as listening,speaking,reading and writing learning and mastering,thus requires teachers to the students of four aspects to cultivate the ability of listening,speaking,reading and writing,and therefore requires a higher and more specific for English teachers.In the face of such a heavy teaching pressure and the outside world’s keen attention,teachers shoulder more and more heavy burden,dealing with the work and encountered a lot of difficult problems,teachers will slowly produce job burnout.In this study,eight teachers in Shuanglong No.2 Middle School will be investigated and studied by case study.Literature analysis will be used to sort out and review domestic and foreign literatures on teacher burnout.Research process is mainly: first,to record the basic information of the eight English teachers,second for eight teachers job burnout survey scale,then the results of the teachers’ job burnout situation,statistics and analysis of the eight English teachers pay amount of job burnout survey and observation of the teachers,preparation condition and so on,and record the situation for recording,test teacher’s job burnout,and eight interview English teachers understand the causes of job burnout,the eight in-depth research of the current English teacher job burnout,and puts forward specific measures for teachers’ job burnout.Through the research,it is found that eight English teachers in The Second Junior Middle School of Shuanglong Town have different job burnout levels.Among the three dimensions,eight English teachers have higher scores in emotional exhaustion and depersonalization,and higher degrees of emotional exhaustion and depersonalization.However,eight teachers generally have higher personal sense of achievement.Among them,the factors that lead to the burnout of teachers include the particularity of teachers’ work,the particularity of curriculum,the school environment and the situation of students.At the same time,the degree of teacher burnout will also affect students’ grades.
