Study On Singing Of Hakka Folk Songs In West Fujian

Hakka folk songs are the splendid treasures of Chinese traditional culture.With their long history and unique artistic values,Hakka folk songs in western Fujian have been listed in the Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Projects in Fujian Province.During the migration,Hakka folk songs not only promote Hakka’s own ethnic culture,but also blend with other cultures,forming a unique genre in western Fujian.The content of Hakka folk songs in western Fujian is simple and natural.Their melody is flexible and has a unique style especially in singing.Hakka folk songs in western Fujian are one of the most typical icons of Hakka folk songs,writing down an indispensable key chapter in Hakka culture.The author as a local vocal music performance professional,will take the singing of Hakka folk songs in western Fujian as the research object,investigating firstly on the historical origin of Hakka folk songs,then introducing their dialects and singing characteristics.Taking the two Hakka folk songs of western Fujian as examples,this paper will analyze and discuss the musical and singing characteristics of Hakka folk songs in western Fujian,excavating its unique and significant artistic values.
