An Ecological Discourse Analysis Of Xi Jinping’s The Belt And Road Initiative Speech

President Xi Jinping’s opening speech,and a series of speeches during the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation,together with a total of 11 speeches,are taken as the research corpus,and qualitative analysis is used to categorize and summarize the speech acts theory,and supplement it with necessary quantitative analysis for ecological discourse analysis.Through the extension of metaphor in cognitive linguistics,the author compares the language force in speech act to the force in the physical field,constructs a language force analysis model,analyzes the composition of the force,the principle of the force.Based on the perspective of eco linguistics,the author analyzes the model of language force and concludes that the model has two main points.One is that language force must have direction and point to social ecological environment factors,which can be said to be a necessary condition.Second,if the speaker wants language force to have an impact on the social and ecological environment,he or she should try to make the language force greater than the internal resistance of the hearer.Then,from the perspective of perlocutionary act,this paper discusses the methods of enhancing language force.In fact,discourse exerts three influences on the hearer:one is the influence of literal meaning transmission,the other is the influence of illocutionary force transmission,and the third is the influence of transmission in the process of interaction between the speaker and the hearer.Therefore,the perlocutionary act can be divided into three types.On the basis of these three kinds of perlocutionary act,the author analyzes the methods of reinforcement in Xi Jinping’s initiative.Therefore,the conclusion of this paper is that strong language force discourse,which has a great influence on the social ecological environment,must meet the demand that the direction of language force points to the social ecological environment,and the strength of discourse is greater than the internal resistance of the hearer,and meet the emotional and interest needs of the hearer.The enhancement of language force can be achieved by presenting rich objective facts,expanding the influence object into groups,and improving the degree of interaction and participation of listeners.
