Contain natural history factors of plants and animals in the qing dynasty palace painting subject matter,the development of this kind of painting in art history,has the status of continuity,than in the past dynasties showing unprecedented development trend,the Palace Museum,interest or intention presents the characteristics of diversity,has the very high aesthetic value and cultural connotation,is worth us deep mining and analysis.This paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which discusses the basis of the topic selection,the definition of the concept of "natural history" and "natural history factors",the historical background,research significance,research status and research methods of the development of natural history factors of animal and plant theme paintings in the early and middle Qing Dynasty.The second chapter mainly aimed at the kangxi,yongzheng and qianlong emperor of interest and intention,which has a tentative purposes,to a great extent,the emperor or more aesthetic taste of traditional Chinese painting,and the emperor for the attention to western culture,the exotic species of interest and attention to the economic crops,and want to show as the ruler of knowledge,At the same time,these interests and intentions,such as lofty political ambitions,aroused the attention of the court painters to natural history,thus creating numerous paintings of plants and animals with natural history factors.In addition,the interest of natural history in the creation of the most representative court painters in the early and middle Qing Dynasty is also selected to analyze,that is,the painters’ attention to the factors of species classification,phenology,geography and so on.Because of the rich and diverse contents and different creation forms of the paintings with the theme of natural history,the third chapter mainly analyzes the natural history factors from the aspects of content and form.The different forms satisfied the emperor’s psychological pursuit of visual changes.There is a close relationship between the content and form and the creation intention of the painters.The painters mostly adopt a combination of Chinese and Western painting style,whose main intention is to cater to the emperor’s aesthetic appreciation,publicize the emperor’s political actions,and demonstrate and reflect the ruler’s strength.The imperial emperors of the Qing Dynasty often inscribed poems on the pictures,which can directly reflect the intention and situation of the painting,and make the picture contrast with each other.The fourth chapter mainly discusses the similarities and differences between the palace and the literati and professional painters in the natural factors of animal and plant paintings.For example,Zou Yigui is similar to a "part-time painter".On the one hand,he paints for the officials of the court and the emperor,and at the same time,he has certain literati attributes.As a professional painter,Li Shan once studied Jiang Tingxi,and later became a professional painter of Yangzhou School of Painting.Both of them have connections and differences in strokes and styles.Li Shan learned from Jiang Tingxi in the early stage,and then made innovations,and was good at using water and white powder when depicting flowers.The fifth chapter mainly discusses from the perspective of comparison between China and the West,mainly including the differences between the botanical paintings of the Qing Dynasty and the flowers painted by Western painters such as Redoud and so on,thus revealing the differences between the Chinese and Western botanical paintings of the palace.As a painter in the Qing Dynasty,Shen Quan went to Japan,where his realistic techniques had a deep influence on Japanese painting and natural history.After returning to China,Shen Quan served the court and had a certain influence on Chinese painting.In short,based on the interest of natural history in the early and middle Qing Dynasty,this paper analyzes and studies it,and at the same time compares it with the west,highlighting the interest or intention of natural history in China,thus reflecting the unique aesthetic connotation of China.
