Language is an essential communication tool for communication between people. The spoken language used in daily life and the written language used in daily writing all are within the scope of language.Because people are communicating, speaking and writing every day, human culture and civilization are still maintained.People are developing and enriching the indispensable language in life. They spend a lot of effort in each era.The more human history changes, the more language changes step by step.Every language has changed in this way,and Chinese and Myanmar can also be said to have developed and enriched step by step.Core words are an important part of language vocabulary and play a vital role in language learning.Semantics is an important part of vocabulary research, which is closely related to human cognition, reflects people's understanding of objective things, and at the same time shows the deep and colorful psychological activities inherent in vocabulary through vocabulary. This paper starts with the core words related to people, animals and plants, discusses the prototype meaning and semantic expansion of these core words, and analyzes the cognitive semantic similarities and differences between Chinese and Myanmar core words. The core words are the most stable and most commonly used,so this paper adopts the "Two Hundred Words List" of Swadesh. In this paper,a total of 55 core words are studied, which are divided into five parts:(1)human,male,female,father,mother,husband,wife,child;(2)animal,fish,bird,dog,lice,worms,snakes,eggs,horns,tails,feathers,wings;(3)hair,head,ears,eyes,nose,mouth,teeth,tongue,neck,nails,feet,legs,knees,hands;(4)skin,flesh,blood,bone,fat,belly,breast,heart,liver,back,and intestine;(5)forest,tree,seed,leaf,root,bark,branch,flower,fruits,grass.From the perspective of cognitive linguistics, this paper compared and studied 55 core words of animals and plants in Chinese and Myanmar, and studied the metaphorical and metonymic semantic expansion of these 55 core words of animals and plants.Through the comparative study on the cognitive semantics of the core words of animals and plants in Chinese and Myanmar,it can be seen that the prototype words of the core words of animals and plants in Chinese and Myanmar languages are basically the same, and in terms of semantic expansion, there will be universality, specificity and cultural differences between the two languages. The general arrangement of this article is as follows:The first chapter is the core words related to animals in Chinese and Myanmar, and "human" are also animals,so this chapter is about to study the cognitive semantic comparison of "human" and related core words in Chinese and Myanmar.Human are the spirits of this world and have strong creativity.Men,women,father,mother,husband,wife,child,etc.related to "human" are important core words in interpersonal relationships,so they are discussed in the first place. The second chapter is the cognitive semantic comparison of Chinese-Myanmar animal core words. This chapter focuses on the core words of animals such as animal, fish, dog, snake, bird, louse, worm, etc, and also focuses on the body parts core words in Swadesh's "Two Hundred Words List",which only animals have the the body parts, such as eggs, horns, tails, feathers, wings, etc. From this,we discuss the semantic extension changes of these related core words, and compare and analyze the semantic cognitive similarities and differences between the two languages on these core words. The third chapter is the cognitive semantic comparison of the core words of head, neck and limbs related to humans and animals between Chinese and Myanmar.Whether human or animal, hair, head, ears, eyes, nose, mouth, teeth, tongue, neck, fingernails, feet, legs, knees, hands, etc.have corresponding physiological functions.Especially in humans and primates, the head-neck and limb-related core words correspond exactly.Other animals that cannot stand upright generally have no hands, but have limbs. The core words of this part are the external expressions of humans and animals, and the two are related to a certain extent,so they are placed in the third position for comparison and discussion. The fourth chapter is the cognitive semantic comparison of the core words related to human and animal torso and internal organs.Humans and animals have skin, flesh, belly, back, breast, blood, bone, grease, intestines, heart, liver, etc.According to the cognitive order from outside to inside, this chapter is placed in the fourth position. The fifth chapter is to do the cognitive semantic comparison of Chinese-Myanmar plant core words. There are many words related to plants in the core words. It is relying on plants that human beings can thrive.Core words such as forest, tree, flower, fruit, seed, branch, leaf, root, grass are very important in daily language communication.By studying the meanings and extended changes of these core words,we can also explore the similarities and differences in the way humans perceive and think about the surrounding world.Because the boundaries between plants and animals are clear, they are separate chapters and discussed after animals. The conclusion part observes the universality, particularity and cultural difference of semantic expansion of Chinese and Myanmar languages from the relationship between humans and animals and plants, and thus ends the full text.Chinese and Myanmar belong to the Sino-Tibetan language family.Within a language family, the comparative study of the vocabulary of two languages is an important area. This kind of comparative study can help us understand the language, culture and way of life of the two countries.Since there are not many achievements in the semantic description and comparative research of core words in Chinese and Myanmar languages, this paper intends to establish a feasible comparative research paradigm with the aid of the study of core words,so as to provide a reference model for the vocabulary research related to Chinese and Myanmar.
