From Simple To Complex,from Quiet To Vivid,to Chase After The Sun

The modern zheng solo “Chase After The Sun” by Chen zhe,a newly emerging young composer of contemporary zheng music,is a modern zheng music work created by adopting modern zither playing techniques and modern composition techniques,based on the traditional Chinese myth "kuafu is going after the sun".In the specific creation,the composer skillfully integrates the simple technique,the rhythm technique,the mode extension technique and other composition techniques with the fast fingering sequence,the wheel pinch,and the special fingering sound effect of the string rubbing of the dart.It infuses new musical vocabulary into the four plots,deeply expresses the various states and facial expression changes of "kua fu" is chasing the sun,as well as the deep cultural connotation reflected by kua fu’s persistent pursuit,which makes people think deeply.Based on the author’s own performance experience,this paper analyzes and explores the creation background,composition technology,performance technique and style,artistic characteristics,emotional connotation of "Chase After The Sun",so as to deeply explore and explore the artistic innovation and originality of "Chase After The Sun" in the creation of modern Zheng music works.
