An Analysis Of Engels’ Moral Idea

Marxist moral theory is an important part of Marxism,among which the moral thoughts of Marx and Engels have important practical guiding significance for the construction of socialist morality with Chinese characteristics.As an important part of Marxist morality,Engels’ morality thought has important theoretical value for understanding and developing Marxist moral theory.In his works such as "Anti-Duhring Theory","The Origin of Family,Private Ownership,and the State",and "Ludwig Feuerbach and the End of German Classical Philosophy",Engels started from the materialistic conception of history and expressed his views on capitalist morality.The concept was deeply criticized.Engels’ exposition on the essential connotation,development type and development law of morality is an important supplement to Marx’s moral view.Today,when building socialism with Chinese characteristics in a new era,further research and discussion of Engels’ moral values is undoubtedly an important content for enriching and perfecting the core values of socialism.This article is divided into three parts.The first part traces the theoretical origin and background of the formation of Engels’ moral view;through logical combing of ancient Greek natural spirit and medieval religious morality,and the changes in the social background of 19 th century Europe to clarify Engels’ moral view The resulting rational foundation and social and historical environmental factors.In the second part,through the initial exploration of the formation of Engels’ moral view,based on the common works of Marx and Engels and the personal related writings of the two people on the study of morality during Marx’s life,it elaborates on Engels’ s view of morality on the basis of his earlier thoughts after the death of Marx.Carry out perfection and systematic analysis.In the third part,Engels’ ethics is combined with China’s reality,and the socialist core value system is used as the framework to clearly expound the important role of Engels’ ethics in modern moral education.
