| Bao Guixing was one of the important poet and writer of Tongcheng School from Jiaqing to Daoguang in Qing Dynasty.There are 299 historical figures in Juesheng’s Poetry Notes,which involve a long period of history and have rich categories.In this paper,Bao Guixing’s "Juesheng Poetry Notes" is selected as the object of collation and research,which mainly involves three major problems:collation,historical characters,composition and style of Juesheng Poetry Notes.The introduction of this article firstly defines the concept of "epic poems" and sorts out the development history of epic poems;Secondly,it discusses current research status on Bao Guixing and the research value and significance of "Selection of Juesheng Epic Poems ".The first chapter of this paper is the collation of the version of Juesheng’s Poems on Historical Notes.There are six editions of Juesheng’s Notes on Historical Poems,the collation of its editions mainly involves collation and brief notes,in the collation,the specific information of the editions is collected,and the incomplete words and taboo words of several editions are corrected.Short notes are placed in the appendix because of too much content.In addition,in the process of consulting the literature,it was found that there were errors in the records of Juesheng’s Notes on Historical Poems in the Catalogue of Chinese Series and the Index Compilation of Subheadings,which was also explained in this paper.The second chapter of this paper is to discuss the categories of historical characters in Juesheng’s Poems on Historical Notes.Firstly,this paper analyzes the image of sages and celebrities,and probes into the poet’s esteem for sages and the importance attached to self-cultivation and morality and talent;secondly,it analyzes the counselor and explores his desire for meritorious service and his sympathy and resentment for the ambition of the volunteers;by analyzing the heroine and the beautiful woman,and exploring their positive psychology of expecting feudal women to be independent,this paper analyzes the reasons behind his failure to chant emperors and figures in Qing Dynasty,and probes into his mentality of treading on thin ice in literary creation under the complicated political background.Exploring the historical characters is of great significance for exploring Bao Guixing’s inner world.The third chapter of this paper is an inquiry into the composition and poetic style of Juesheng’s Poetry.This chapter first discusses the various techniques used by Bao Guixing in chanting epic poems;then,it explores the poetic style of Juesheng’s Poem on Historical Notes from four aspects: overlapping words,the use and collocation of colors,the language style of combining rigidity and softness in Tang and Song Dynasties,and the tragic consciousness in the poem.The composition and style of Juesheng’s Poems on Historical Notes are inseparable,which both reflect Bao Guixing’s inheritance of poetry tradition and Tongcheng School’s thought.The analysis and research of the above contents have expanded the research scope on Bao Guixing,filled in the research gap on Bao Guixing’s poetry works,and have certain reference value for the research on Bao Guixing in the future. |
