Classroom environment perception is students’ perception or feeling of the classroom,which is the potential factor to determine the development of students.There is a close relationship between classroom environment perception and students’ learning outcomes.A positive classroom environment perception is conducive to the improvement of students’ academic performance.Good classroom environment perception has a great impact on students’ individual classroom behavior participation.When classroom teaching environment is in a positive state,it can promote students’ classroom participation behaviors.In the present study,the influence of senior high students’ English classroom environment perception on their classroom behaviors is studied,aiming to find out the factors that affect students’ classroom participation behaviors,so as to optimize the classroom environment,improve students’ learning behaviors and then improve teaching effect.The research participants of the present study were 906 senior high students from 5 high schools in Qiannan area.This study studied the influence of senior high school students’ perception of English classroom environment on their behaviors through questionnaires and semi-structured interview.The research mainly around the following four aspects to discuss:(1)The current situation of senior high students’ perception of English classroom environment.(2)The current situation of senior high school students’ behaviors in English class.(3)The influence of senior high students’ perception of English classroom environment on their behaviors and the extent of the influence.(4)The other factors that affect senior high students’ classroom behaviors.The quantitative data are analyzed by using descriptive statistics,pearson correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis.The qualitative data are analyzed by using thematic analysis.The results are as follows:(1)The senior high school students’ perception of English classroom environment is at high level at the overall level.Among the category,teacher support,cooperation and class order are at a high level,while task orientation and student cohesiveness are at medium level.(2)The senior high school students’ classroom behaviors are at medium level at the overall level and category level.(3)In senior high school students’ perception of English classroom environment,the four dimensions: teacher support,task orientation,cooperation and classroom order are significantly positive related to students’ classroom behaviors.There is a significant positive correlation between student cohesiveness and verbal participation and support seeking in students’ classroom behaviors,but there is no significant correlation between student cohesiveness and learning orientation,competition and emotional control.Although correlation analysis shows that multiple dimensions in the senior high school students’ perception of English classroom environment are significantly correlated with multiple dimensions in students’ classroom behaviors,regression analysis shows that only teacher support,task orientation and cooperation have significant effects on students’ classroom behaviors.(4)Factors affecting senior high school students’ classroom behaviors include internal factors and external factors.Internal factors include students’ English learning interest,students’ English level and students’ individual factors.External factors include teacher’s teaching methods and the influence of social and cultural environment.According to the study results,the researcher puts forward some suggestions to promote students’ positive classroom behaviors:(1)To invest more time and emotion in the construction of relationships.(2)To design diversified classroom activities.(3)To cultivate students’ problem consciousness.(4)To establish reasonable evaluation mechanism.
