Researches On The Finishing Time Of Zhouyi From Archaeological Findings

Based on the researching methods and the achievements available since the 20 th century,the present thesis is an attempt to determinate the time when the main body of zhouyi is accomplished by analyzing the New archaeological discoveries in recent years.The present thesis in addition to an introduction and a conclusion consists of three parts:In the First part,this chapter debate the issue what impact did archaeological discoveries related to the Yijing book have on the book’s completion date.There aren’t definite conclusions about the zhouyi’s completion date,scholars couldn’t make sure the book was accomplished in Early Zhou,Compromise Time,Late zhou,the discussion concentrate on early zhou is true or false.The results of this study are influenced by the trend of doubting ancient history in the first half of the 20 th century.In recent years,it was not until a large number of divination materials,silk and bamboo’s zhouyi were unearthed that we began to correct the concept of doubting ancient history.Scholars re explore with a new perspective and the new disagreements have arisen.The differences in the writing time of hexagrams and paintings,the theory of divination in the Western Zhou Dynasty and the judgment of the completion date of the book of changes affect the judgment of the conclusion of the book of changes.In the second part,this chapter aims to study the yijing’s completion time based the Digital hexagram data and views.It includes two aspects,one is the analysis of the relationship between the digital hexagram and the yi hexagram.This paper holds that although the digital hexagram material is different from the yi hexagram in the form of expression,it already has the meaning of the concept of yin and Yang and the Yijing image,and it should not prove that the book of changes was completed late by the late appearance of the hexagram symbols.The second is to comment on the digital hexagrams unearthed in the Yin and Zhou Dynasties and scholars’ opinions,and prove that the book of changes existed before the middle of the Western Zhou Dynasty through the analysis of the four Mopan divination bones,Anyang Yi hexagrams,Western Zhou Tao Pai and other materials.The third part,the paper aims to study the completion time of divinatory words of Hexagram.Based on the analysis of the language of the hexagrams,different researchers have some differences on the formation age of the hexagrams,which implies the cognitive differences on the completion age of the book of changes.According to the ideological characteristics and the historical facts involved,the emergence of the hexagrams should be in the early Western Zhou Dynasty.
