and achievements of human civilization.As General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized,it is necessary to tell the Chinese story and spread the voice of China in a way that the audience is willing to accept and easy to understand.However,intercultural communication is still faced with many obstacles and conflicts,whether it is influenced by cultural ideas,language environment,system and ideology,or by communication mechanism,marketing mode,expression methods and other factors.The high integration of media promotes the change of media form,and the new media platform has become one of the most advantageous media forms in intercultural communication.At the same time,the traditional types of television works gradually lack competitive vitality in the chain of realizing intercultural communication.micro-documentary rapidly attracts a large number of audiences with its novel expression,strong information carrying capacity and rich spiritual and cultural connotation,which brings more possibilities for television works to realize intercultural communication.This thesis takes the historical and cultural micro-documentary as the research subject,and sociology,art,aesthetics,communication and other disciplines as the theoretical support.Analyzes the classic works of historical and cultural micro-documentaries,summarizes their content characteristics,summarizes the opportunities and challenges faced by intercultural communication,and explores the strategies of intercultural communication of historical and cultural micro-documentary.The thesis is divided into four chapters:In the introduction part,the author introduces the writing background of the thesis,and discusses the significance of the thesis in theoretical research and practical guidance.Secondly,the author introduces the research status of the thesis,and shows the main research content,research methods and innovation.Thirdly,the author gives an overview of micro-documentary from three aspects: concept definition,type division and characteristics.Finally,this thesis takes the relevant theories of intercultural communication as the innovation and reform with specific cases.In the second chapter,the author analyzes the current situation of intercultural communication of historical and cultural micro-documentary based on 5W mode,and introduces the feasibility of intercultural communication mainly from the changes of communication channels,creative subjects,audience needs and communication effects.At the same time,rich historical materials and the communication characteristics of micro-documentaries in the new media environment have become the advantages of intercultural communication of historical and cultural micro-documentaries.Intercultural communication is restricted by many factors.The third chapter lists the obstacles in the process of intercultural communication of historical and cultural
