Study On Wang Yucheng’s Poems

Wang Yucheng is an outstanding representative of poetry in the early Song Dynasty and a pioneer of poetry innovation and political reform in the Northern Song Dynasty.He is good at writing poetry and ancient Chinese prose.He has expanded the limited scope of Bai Juyi’s poetry expressions,and created a large number of realistic poems reflecting the fact and satirizing the reality.To some extent,Wang Yucheng’s poetry represents the highest achievement of poetry in the early Song Dynasty.Besides,he has made a great contribution to the development of poetry innovation and the maturity of Song poetry.In order to objectively evaluate the literary achievement and the status of Wang Yucheng’s poetry,this paper,taking his poetry as the research object,makes a study through poetry writing period and the classification for the sake of analyzing Wang Yucheng’s poetics thoughts.This paper is mainly divided into the following four chapters:To begin with,the paper gives a introduction to current related researches of Wang Yucheng’s poetry both at home and abroad.It points out the focus and weakness of current related researches,and makes this topic research significance and value more clear.By studying the present researches,few scholars meticulously study Wang Yucheng’s poetry in the light of writing time and styles.Furthermore,the sources of his poetry and the thinking-theory system also have the space for further study,so it is necessary to explore Wang Yucheng and his poetry deeply and systematically.In the first chapter,on the basis of writing time and styles of poetry,Wang Yucheng’s poetry can be divided into three stages according to his life experience.And the paper makes detailed introductions to Wang Yucheng’s psychological changes and the artistic characteristics in each stage.Then,for the correct understanding of Wang Yucheng’s poem artistic achievement,the paper respectively describes Wang Yucheng’s content features and artistic skills about five-character “regulated” verses,seven-character “regulated” verses and regulated verses.The second chapter mainly discusses the artistic sources of Wang Yucheng’s poetry.Starting from Wang Yucheng’s acceptance and inheritance of the poems of Bai Juyi,Du Fu and Han Yu,the paper analyzes the writing objects and practices of Wang’s poetry writing.The third chapter makes an analysis and a summary of Wang Yucheng’s poetry from three aspects to embody his poetic thoughts: the style of returning to ancient with elegant aesthetic values,the writing creation ideas with the combination of social experiences and natural landscape,the function theory of poetry by using poems to express stress and aspirations as well as recording history.
