The Research On The Preface Of Corpus And Poems Written By Tang People

There are a large number of collections of corpus and poems in the Tang Dynasty.They are accompanied by a lot of prefaces,which are closely related to the author’s works and their importance is no less than the author’s works.Through sorting out the preface of corpus and poems written by Tang people,this paper explores their rich connotation which is mainly divided into five parts:The first chapter begins with the writers of the preface of corpus and poems written by Tang people,exploring the identity and creative intention of the creators.The identity of the authors is involved with students,relatives,friends,the court etiquettes,literary masters,and the writers who wrote their own prefaces.The difference of identity reflects different intentions which are greatly affected by the fashion of the Tang literary circles and the concept of literary communication.The second chapter studies the style of the preface of corpus and poems written by Tang people.It aims to reveal the distinctive style of the prefaces of the Tang dynasty,which are divided into four aspects:the structural style,the linguistic features,the rhetorical art and writing style.The third and fourth chapters grasp the writing contents and literary thoughts of the preface of corpus and poems written by Tang people.The content,on one hand based on the authors,revealing the influence of the master’s family background,official career experience,sing-along activities,the influence of region and human environment.On the other hand,prefaces focus on the author’s works,revealing the compilation and editing of the works and the literary criticism.The fourth chapter focuses on the analysis of the literary thoughts.In combination with one’s own creative practice and the literary fashion,the authors of the preface analyze and judge the collections of poetry and prose which delineates the development of literary ideas and thoughts of the Tang dynasty.The fifth chapter is the revelation of the literary value of the preface of corpus and poems written by Tang people.By comparing the volume and version records of the prefaces and postscripts with the records of later generations,we can trace back to the original appearance of the poems and corpus of the Tang dynasty which shows the thier bibliographic value.The preface and the postscript of corpus and poems also contain a large number of historical materials about the life of the Tang people,which show us rich historical material value.The spread of the Tang collections is inseparable from the spread of the preface of the collected works and anthologies.Therefore,as a medium of communication,the preface of the collected works and anthologies contains rich value of communication.
