Abstract/Summary:
Feng Shu,an important poet of Yushan School of poetry in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties,was upright in nature and courageous in case of trouble.He learned from Qian Qianyi.He has collected more than 420 poems,including two volumes of Kongju collection,two volumes of Beizheng collection,one volume of Fuhai collection,two volumes of Shunren collection,and one volume of Youfei collection.There are also excellent novels and essays handed down from generation to generation.Feng Shu plays an important role in the group of Yushan poets.Through combing Feng Shu’s life and works,this paper summarizes Feng Shu’s poetic views,analyzes the ideological content of his poetry,explores Feng Shu’s poetic creation techniques and artistic style,and strives to fully present Feng Shu’s living state and poetic creation.This paper is divided into four parts to discuss Feng Shu’s poems.The first chapter is the introduction,which summarizes the research history and current situation of Feng Shu in academic circles by sorting out and analyzing various historical materials,monographs and journal papers related to Feng Shu.It points out that later generations often evaluate Feng Shu from the perspective of propaganda poetics based on his knowledge,but neglect his poetry creation itself.The second chapter is about Feng Shu’s life,works and poetics.This chapter introduces Feng Shu’s works and outlines Feng Shu’s life path by investigating his life experience,which is the content basis and emotional source of Feng Shu’s poetry creation.Finally,combined with the poetic background of Yushan area in the late Ming Dynasty and the early Qing Dynasty and the content of his works on poetry,this paper introduces Feng Shu’s poetic views and summarizes the innovation of Feng Shu’s poetic ideas.The third chapter is the classification and content analysis of Feng Shu’s poetry.At the time of social change in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties,Feng Shu experienced the Jia Shen rebellion personally.His poems contain the poet’s deep sorrow for his family and country and his personal feelings.There are not only sympathy for people’s livelihood and social unrest,insight into historical changes and personnel changes,but also deep-seated lamentation for personal experiences and missing for relatives and friends."Poetry expresses ambition",which is an important way for poets to express their emotions and present their inner world.From Feng Shu’s poems,we can explore his complex inner world and rich emotional experience.The fourth chapter analyzes the artistic features of Feng Shu’s poems.On the one hand,Feng Shu’s poetry creation is deeply influenced by Changshu’s regional culture;on the other hand,Feng Shu’s poems are widely used.The whole poetry presents the style of straightforward,true,gloomy and desolate,with distinct personality color and unique aesthetic characteristics.Feng Shu’s poems are characterized by flexible expression,skillful use of such techniques as line drawing,allusion,Xingji and contrast,long poem title,preface and many groups of poems,which are both natural and elegant.Under the background of the late Ming Dynasty and early Qing Dynasty,the study of Feng Shu’s poetry reveals his obscure inner world,so as to have a glimpse of the central course and living conditions of the poets in the troubled times in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties.It helps us to understand the poets of Yushan school objectively and dialectically,and provides a meaningful reference for the study of the poets’ mentality and poetry development in Changshu area in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties.
