Fail Say Musical Characteristics And Performance Analysis Of Paganini Theme Jazz Piano Variations

Fail Say is a famous Turkish pianist and composer.He learned to play the piano as a child an d showed great talent in piano performance and composition.He was influenced by Cortot’s uniqu e piano initiation teaching method when he was young,and got inspiration from improvisation.I n the course of his research,it is not difficult to find that he likes to adapt the traditional themes o f classical composers.From his own unique perspective,he adapted the musical themes of some tr aditional works into modern musical techniques and jazz styles,making the originally obscure clas sical music easy to understand.The Paganini Piano Variations is a modern jazz style piano solo.U nlike traditional jazz piano compositions,it enables jazz to emphasize improvisation and variatio n,forming a standardized and unified process.On the basis of retaining the theme of the origina 1 work,he added the marvelous rhythm and harmony to form a complete and unified score.There i s a theme,six variations and three additional variations.Including Fail Say himself,who didn’t ha ve to improvise;Every performance is the same.Based on Fail Say’s personal information and art istic achievements,combined with the analysis of the style changes of "Paganini Variations In Th e Style Of Modern Jazz For Piano",this paper analyzes the music form harmony and the applicati on of jazz style,and finally discusses the processing of music color,playing methods and the appli cation of pedals in piano performance.
