Through many times Chinese teaching practices to the speakers of other languages and conversations with Chinese learners,the author finds that most of intermediate and advanced level Chinese learners still could not accomplish the normal and decent literary Chinese expressions even if they are able to speak Chinese fluently.To figure out why,we are supposed to consider variety of elements,which include vocabulary,grammar,pragmatics and social mind and culture etc.Besides,the author also notices that the literary Chinese expressions of the middle and high level Chinese learners are influenced by colloquial Chinese expressions badly,which leads to the field of Chinese styles and stylish words.Many foreign researchers demonstrated that there is a colloquial tendency in second language learners’ literary Chinese expressions.Nevertheless,the topic of written Chinese and oral Chinese in teaching Chinese as a second language lacks of sufficient attention and research,therefore it calls for more discuss and analysis.On one hand,there are complicated and tight connections between written Chinese and oral Chinese,on the other hand,so are differences in phonology,lexicology,grammar and style and so on.Written Chinese and oral Chinese form the lexical and stylish characteristics respectively through a long period of development in history.Both written Chinese style and oral Chinese style belong to the ways of Chinese expressions,they influence each other and interpenetrate,and even some written Chinese words correspond to oral written Chinese words in some degree.Hence,corresponding stylish words should be employed in different styles,while the former can reflect the features of the latter.However,the complexity of Chinese style and stylish word bring sizeable troubles to Chinese learners in China.In the expressions of written Chinese style of the intermediate and advanced level Chinese learners,spoken words frequently replace written words inappropriately,furthermore,errors arise and lead to the impropriety of written Chinese expressions.This thesis starts from the perspective of Chinese style and stylish word,in order to discuss and analyze the relation and problems between written Chinese style and oral words.The theoretical analysis bases on the present researches of Chinese style and stylish words in Chapter One to define and illustrate them mentioned in this thesis.Moreover,it discusses the features of Chinese written style and oral words,and the relevance and differences between them.Therefore,it provides theoretical support and basis for the subsequent empirical research.The empirical research divided into two parts is as follows.First,combining previous research results,it divides oral words into interjections,modal words,neutral-tone words,er-hua words,dialect words,colloquial words,marked oral words,etc.,then retrieves and analyzes the most employed and representative oral words of each variety in the full range of the database HSK Dynamic Composition Corpus.Second,based on the former works,it designs a questionnaire in order to test the Chinese written language and oral word awareness,common sense and practical ability of advanced level of Chinese language learners.And then,on the basis of former outcome,it probes into the manifestations,reasons and bad influences of the problems caused by the oral words in Chinese written style writing of intermediate and advanced level Chinese learners.At last,this thesis depends on the former analysis,it indicates the problems and deficiency of the teaching of Chinese written style writing and oral words,in addition.it proposes some related advice to improve the teaching and research of Chinese written style and oral words,in order to reduce gradually the problems in Chinese written style writing of intermediate and advanced level Chinese learners. |
